I think you guys are perhaps putting a little too much stock in this slipping thing. If its based on stock theirs no reason to believe there is a magic time it will start to slip. I know its common to see the times slipping, but looking at a exact timeframe seems a little much.

Everything started from page one of this thread is considered for others as "WAY TOO MUCH".

But we have waited for the chips, waited for the CES, waited for the invitation, waited for 280 pages.

Yes, now we are waiting for the slipping, unless you can tell us what else we can do.

Sad but true. And I changed my countdown day to 17th June, the WWDC.

Well, there is the Computex of Tapei left, from 31 may to 4 june...
But at this point I don't event know how it could be important for us.

Let's just wait, once again.
At least for three days.

So whats the latest rumor are we going to see the announcement of New Macbooks on Monday ? Especially anything in the entry level 15" rMBP

rMB is the most likely to get a refresh for a variety of reasons. If they do any of these: increase its power, add another port, or drop the price, they could get definitely get some sales. Upping the FaceTime camera to a 720P would be icing on the cake. I personally think they won't make any body changes, and just up the processor, but the thing is thin as hell and fanless, so I'm not sure how far they can push it. If they could have fit two ports on it, they would have done that last year. But I digress.

There's no way we'll get a release of the 15" with Skylake on Monday, because Intel's own machine, the Skull Canyon NUC, that uses the same Skylake chip won't ship until May.

if Apple is going to redesign the MBPs, wouldn't they still offer the 2015 retina models at a reduced price?

I'd hope they drop the stone-aged non-retina MBP and put the current entry 13" rMBP in its place at a lower price.

Since history is a good indicator of what we'll see over the next few months, the 13" MPB (non-retina) was last refreshed in June of 2012 (the same day the rMBP was announced). At the time, its price remained the same at $1,199. Its price dropped $100 in July of 2014.

yes on monday we will see for sure the 4" iPhone, the 9.7 ipad, the bands for apple watch, the macbook getting the skylake core m with increase in performance by 10% cpu and over 30% in Gpu, getting 1 extra hour of battery life and rose gold option colour ,iOS9.3 and tvOS and OSX
MBP chances are 21 March 40%-60% WWDC

Let's play a fun game. What's the most frustrating thing that could happen on Monday?
  1. Just a refresh of 15" rMBP with Broadwell. Price drop of non retina MBP.
  2. Just a refresh of rMB with Skylake. That's it.
  3. Introduction of 16" rMB and discontinuation of rMBP and MBA lines. Tim Cook saying, "With the iPad Pro, we no longer need the MacBook Pro. Why would you need one? No seriously, why?"
  4. Refresh of 13" with a faster version / quad core version of Broadwell.
  5. 13" and 15" rMBP get the new rMB keyboard with the same travel. Also a downgrade to a 480p camera. No other changes.
  6. Removal of glowing apple logo from rMBPs. That's it.
  7. MBA gets redesign with retina screens, Skylake, new colors, TB3. No mention of rMBP.
  8. iMacs with new colors. No mention of MacBooks.
  9. Complete snuff of anything with the word Mac in it.
  10. They tease "One more thing..." and the word "book." New version of iBooks.

No slippage, it's after 10 a.m. Eastern.

Without new Macs this is going to be easily the most boring Apple keynote of all time. A low budget iPhone, a smaller version of an iPad we've already seen, and new watch bands.

There are no slippages on any of the products, even the ones we're 99% sure will be updated :) I think that's a sign that Apple either got their sh*t together and are managing this really well.. or that availability is a useless metric ^_^

I don't want to scary anybody but here's my three words horror history for Monday:

Broken internet conection

Folks, I hate to be the party pooper but there is no way the MBP is being updated on Monday. Zero supply slippage, no leaks of ANY kind - it's not happening.

There will be leaks and obvious supply shortage well in advance. It will be very clear that an update is coming. In this case it's clear that there is not an imminent update.

Check back in 2 months.

I would seriously go postal with these. Especially with the first.

Nothing has changed since a lot of months, actually...

Let's just say it isn't releasing on Monday.

Is it entirely normal for rumours to then not appear at all three months before WWDC?
Cause honestly we haven't heard anything concrete.
