This does not look promising.... I know we all have been hoping for a March 21st release, but honestly, TO ME, it looks now rather impossible. I mean... no rumors AT ALL??

What is worse, for the 15'' someone actually predicted an update in the fall. That would be a joke...
My 2007 Macbook and 2009 13'' macbook pro are tired of waiting. But, it looks to me that they'll need to work a little longer before they can finally retire :-(

Come on Apple, get MY MONEY!!!!! Need some of that "retina" thing everybody's talking about!

Ok MacBooks and iPad Air 2's now showing delivery today (expedited) or 3/22 for regular in NYC. For comparison, iPhone 6S still says delivery Monday 3/21

I think its very likely the Macbook will get upgraded at the event Monday (the feng leak even suggested as such) and it doesnt show any slipped times either. So I really wouldnt read too much into it.

Im wondering what Apple has planed that stops them making the updates for every single computer apart from iMac, and Macbook?

Mac Mini, Mac Pro, Macbook Pro, Macbook Air. Those are the ones that did not received any meaningful updates for very long time. New Thunderbolt Displays? External GPUs? Abandoning of those lines? Confirmation of Half Life 3?

Over 7,000 posts and 282 pages in the thread, 302 days since the last update......

But hey, at least it's not as bad as the nMP. That thing hasn't been updated in over 1,000 days...

Still, placing all of your focus on shiny iGadgets and neglecting your computer lineup is unsat.

Maybe this

Tim Cook said:
“I think if you’re looking at a PC, why would you buy a PC anymore? No really, why would you buy one?”

*cries in the corner*

Nah. An interview right after that one:
Tim basically clarifies

"However, it is understood that Cook was referring to Windows PCs and not Apple ones"

"Speaking to Independent.ie , Cook denied that the death of computers such as the Mac was imminent and said that there would be a market for such traditional personal computers for the foreseeable future."

I'm just hoping that a lack of shipping time slip between now and Monday will just mean that Apple will be announcing Macbook updates but they won't ship for a week or two or some BS like that, like the 12" MB last year.

One can hope.

Save big on Apple’s newest laptops: Retina MacBook Pro $1,000 (Reg. $1,299), 256GB 11″ MacBook Air $870 (Reg. $1,099)
Apple 13-inch Retina MacBook Pro (newest) 2.7GHz/8GB/256GB $1,200 shipped(Reg. $1,499)

if no MBP's are coming then how come the retailers are giving such discounts?
I still believe apple will announce new MBP on 21st march with later shipping.

That is my final prediction as well (just a few posts up).

Maybe they are going to introduce their version or the surface book.

iPad Pro that disconnects from the bottom of a MBP with additional storage, ports, dGPU, and keyboard/trackpad via apple magic of the smart connector running Thunderbolt 3. Introduce Monday and ships in a few months like the original iPad release.

I can just picture Tim saying "We've taken the POWWWWER of Thunderbolt threeee....and integrated it with smart connector in a waaaaaay...that only AAAple..... could do. Isn't that amazing."

If Apple releases any form of Surface Book while their entire personal computer lineup is in need of an overhaul, I'm jumping ship for a Razor Blade and never returning.

can you post for me the link from feng leak? if you can still find it
[doublepost=1458322629][/doublepost]i really think Apple must update and redesign the mac mini and mbp, and update the thunderbolt display
with thunderbolt 3 now, these monitors can be used at 5k 60hz?

Some concrete discussion and rumor-mongering from outside of our Macrumors echo-chamber:
http://atp.fm/episodes/161

Monday's event is discussed starting 54:20 in :)

These guys speaking here seem to be pretty sure that there will be MacBooks announced on the 21st ! And they are also talking about the entire range of MacBook which is gonna be upgraded ! Would love to believe it but seems a little far fetched !!

Possible! If the design will be the same, a CPU Upgrade and changing a few Ports is no problem.
In case of rMBP they only have to change logic board and add USB-C instead of Thunderbolt Ports. Same with Mac Mini and Mac Pro! It would not take more than 10 minutes to present this...
