I know this probably sounds bad but if the rMBP doesn't get a redesign/colours I probably won't get it. If I'm paying $3700-$4000 AUD for a laptop I would like it to suit my preference and currently I'm not really loving the current design/colour scheme. I know I'll probably get hate but its just my opinion hehe, I would probably buy if they just gave me a space grey rMBP without a redesign.

I too, would buy if there was a spec bump (to Skylake and 32GB RAM option) and choice of at least Silver or Space Grey. In fact, if that was offered tomorrow, I would transfer the money that I have put aside for replacing my current MBP and give it to them... TOMORROW!!!

Unfortunately, I doubt that we will see anything before WWDC... Apple obviously have supply chain issues, and are more than likely going to release a truckload of computer updates at the same time (or very close to) the release of OS X 10.12. I am really unsure if I can wait til the redesign/refresh is available, as I need to buy something this FY.

Still considering my options....

Same here. And I'm still using a 2009 C2D MBP!

Apple is getting no more of my money until they stop resting on their laurels.

Right now, I'm really starting to believe Apple may not be delaying new MacBooks on purpose. Signs (old and new) point to a new generation this year, and Apple does not half-ass nor complicate their new-product launches. They do it right. And doing it right would mean getting all of the pieces to the puzzle first and speaking with action (launching a complete product) vs. them saying "New MacBooks on the way, we promise, just wait [we don't know how long for] for Intel and AMD [which we have no control over]".

How is the jump back to Windows? Windows is the only thing that has kept me from getting the XPS 15"... God I hate Windows :(

I use windows to play and I think that Microsoft made a very good job with it!

I just don't make the jump because of some apps like: Reeder, iBrightness and iMessage stuff. But I HATE OSX bugs like graphical glitches and the Office Suite (!) that Windows doesn't have; Word on OSX performs very bad. And I hate Apple's philosophy about the prices and the restrictions...

Do you have any plans to hackintosh it? And in general would you think its viable for the xps 15? I know there are success stories with 9530 but couldnt find anything for 9550

New MacBook9,1 frequency data found

I did some digging in OS X 10.11.4 and found additional information about the new and yet to be released MacBook9,1 / Mac-9AE82516C7C6B903 in the FrequencyVectors, suggesting that Apple will be using the following Intel processors:

Intel® Core™ m3-6Y30 Processor (4M Cache, up to 2.20 GHz)

Intel® Core™ m5-6Y54 Processor (4M Cache, up to 2.70 GHz)

Intel® Core™ m7-6Y75 Processor (4M Cache, up to 3.10 GHz)

The battery life is worse than the MBP...

did I miss sth. ? where did he say that he needs OS X ?

its not like everybody is as narrow-minded as some poeple in here. any OS these days can handle every tasks....

Are you serious ? I am a software developer, how should I develop apps/software for apple devices without a OS X ? So please don't tell me that you can handle every task with every operarting system. There is no limit for a MacBook Pro, in addition there are many video editing programs which only run on OS X.

Finally, have fun with the windows commandline.
