When i was saying apple emplyee??
I guess you never explicitly said that you were an Apple employee, I just assumed from... you know...
Like i said, we don't have the access to the "main table" where the final decisions are made, i learn from Apple that nothing we know here is 100% sure will happen, but 99% Mbp will be at WWDC, not sure that they can ship the next day (since intel had some big issues with the cpu). But it is 100% that new MacBooks are coming but we dont know if these are the final Macs or apple is planing some new ones 4 years from now. Probably at the end of this year we will know an answer .

Nah, expecting something higher than M470X would just be wishful thinking, but I think you already know this or at least suspect that's the case.
Wishful thinking? Why?

There is HUGE gap between 896 cores, and 2048. And there is also room for even more performance from GPU above M485X. Why would it be wishful thinking if AMD already said that Polaris will be also Mobile GPU?

AMD Radeon 400 Series Mobility GPUs Confirmed – R9 M485X, R9 M470X and R9 M470 GPUs Rebranded GPUs Confirmed

So can we finally accept that the next rMBP will lack a dGPU. No mobile dGPU from either Nvidia (mobile pascal isn't coming anytime soon) or AMD suitable for a thinner rMBP has surfaced. I mean, unless they want to use Cape Verde (M470X, M370X) again, but Iris 580 would be faster in compute so.... I can totally see Apple removing the dGPU to shrink the logic board and reduce the cooling capacity making an overall thinner laptop. Sir Jonathan Ive will be pleased :D others not so much.

That same article also lists Polaris models in the 400 series.

And what AMD shown so far with their new GPUs that would say anything about Polaris TDP? Did they even shown the GPUs?
Bingo! Excellent question. What have they shown?
The clock is ticking....tick, tock.

Even if something is happening, it does not necessarily mean that there will be rumors surrounding it.

I don't agree.

I think there's two components to it:
The first one is that it probably in the best interest of Apple to start hinting at a new release to build hype pre-launch and get people ready for opening their wallets. Preferably the planted rumors is placed in a way that it reaches enthusiasts like us, before it reacher the general public.

Second one is that there's a huge hype surrounding Apple products, so if something new was being made somewhere, leaks of new parts and out of focus/distorted images of new parts/prototypes are pretty likely to surface.

So based on this I don't think we'll see an unveiling where the product can be bought right after announcement at WWDC. Perhaps they have prototypes built in their top secret labs, but then they're not ready for mass production, and you won't be able to get your hands on the product until fall (probably).

Second part agree but still nothing close to amount of people using parts for a mac vs iphone
First part they first intent to sell the left overs in order to sell the other ones. If apple would announce in march lets say that new macs are coming , then mac sales on that particularly product was 0 until June
[doublepost=1463230800][/doublepost]Ps words from Friday that they already start making reversals for the event. We are looking to an event that will have between 2hours-2 hours and a half and with hans on area. Probably next weeks we will find more. But hey, im just a troll so i will no longer post things about wwdc or any other parts regarding apple.

People will hate and assume the worst of people on here. Pay them no attention. Some of us are actually interested in what you have to say, so don't forget about us. People that call you troll or talk in a condescending manner towards you on here, well - whatever.

http://wccftech.com/wwdc-2016-what-to-expect/

"It should be made clear at this point that WWDC (Worldwide Developers Conference) is a developer oriented event therefore users shouldn’t hold their breath for hardware related announcements. If you’re expecting Apple will announce the iPhone 7, iPad Air 3, a new MacBook Pro or maybe the Apple Watch 2, then you might feel a little disappointed at this point. But hey, it’s still an exciting event in terms of software, and here’s what Apple will announce at WWDC 2016."

I disagree - WWDC has seen plenty of Mac hardware announcements in the past not least because

1) ideal timing for back to school laptop purchases
2) Apple developers develop using macs! Perfect audience.

Appropriate Skylake chips are available and MBP has now had its longest ever gap between refreshes - especially the 13". Apple are surely ready with something for WWDC. Yes they could wait until September but this will hit them financially as they'd miss out on back to school sales.

It's my belief that Apple have been ready with a new design for some time and want to launch 13" and 15" simultaneously but have been hampered by the slow release of chips with Iris Pro 580 GPUs by Intel. The first such chip was only made available last week with the Skull Canyon NUC, and even then in small quantities only.

On the other hand, there is a concerning lack of substantive rumour (no offence to Serban) given how close we are to June...

As if 40% decline is not enough you want clients to cease buying current rMBPs at all? :) Ok, not everyone will cease buying but the damage will obviously be done. I'm not saying that there shouldn't be any rumours, it's just that it's not that simple as you say.

By not posting things you're trolling as well, so troll us as you trolled before, please.

The Iris pro 550's 3D mark 11 is only about 2585 on average, so i don't think that's true
Ah yes I was thinking 940m.

But anyways iris 550 is just a tid bit behind the 940mx

The 580 will surely surpass it as well as the 945m.

Which still makes the 580 faster than the MBP current dgpu

As my grandpa used to say" a skunk smells his own hole first". This means the person calling you troll is most likely the troll don't let them get to you.

3DMark Firestrike graphics score: 1826 (about 1/2 that of a 750)

3DMark 11: Graphics score 3225 (about 66% of 750)

Well if those are true then the 580 has almost the same performance as the current M370x

http://www.futuremark.com/hardware/gpu/AMD+Radeon+R9+M370X/review

I still wouldn't trade a polaris dGPU for a "thinner and lighter" MBP that has the same performance as a 1+ year old laptop. Hell, my current 2012 MBP with its 650M has a score of 2200 on 3DMark...that would only be a 1.5x speedup from a 4 year old laptop (and probably even less on the CPU side).

Say the Polaris gpu is like 10% faster than 580.. At the very most.

Dropping the dgpu would make the laptop cheaper, and enable a smaller design, which we know Apple wants to do. And only use half as much power, during heavy load. Meaning twice the battery life (when at full load, probably rare this is actually happening) and more space in the laptop to put batteries.

The vast majority of MacBook pro buyers will not even benefit from that 10% or less increase.

So no rational company would build their MacBook pro. With a dgpu.

Don't get me wrong, I would be thrilled to see a dgpu in my new MacBook pro. But I just know what's really going to happen

The fact that this just was released a few weeks before WWDC makes me believe either A. Apple is going to recycle another round of 28nm ANCIENT dGPU's (oh, please God no, I'm so sick and tired of 28nm GPU's!!!!) or B. Getting rid of all dGPU's, or C. There won't be a new rMBP at this year's WWDC.

yes and lets not forget, without a dgpu it should be even more reliable

And nothing of value was lost.

I don't get comments like this. What the hell is wrong with someone posting this info, regardless of whether it's true or not? It's been almost 440 pages since we actually had a discussion of what possibly might happen based on someone's post, rather than the typical circlejerk of "hurr durr durr idk if i should get a mbp, and do you guys think it will have skylake?" or "hey guys we all have calendars but im going to post that there's X amount of days until the WWDC just to make us all anxious." At the best, it's a glimpse of the possible models of the MBP offered. At the worst, it's a platform for discussion of the possibilities for the MBP.

I'm guessing it's going to be A, maybe B. :(
