If you/anyone can find them, let me know...we get second hand, 'grey goods' and the refurb store...hope to be proved wrong!
Amazon? I don't know, I'm not familiar with it.
Here in the Netherlands we have some shops selling the 15" for €1999, which is €249 cheaper than Apple's offerings, maybe you can check PriceRunner or some other price compare website? (If you want to be tempted, if you want to wait you don't, of course :) )

Erm... Why would it be not possible to use DDR4 on MBP?

DDR4 uses same voltage than LPDDR3. 1.2v vs 1.2v.

Thank you. Was just about to say this.

Why would Apple use LPDDR3 instead of DDR4 when:

- the power draw is literally the same (DDR4 is low power to begin with, remember)
- DDR4 is faster
- DDR4 has higher memory density
- Apple's major competitors already offer DDR4 in their competing laptops

From what I understand, won't moving to 15W processors in the 13" make it less powerful than the previous 28W CPUs?

Umm of course... That's why I am confused someone is suggesting they are moving to 15W.

Yeah Razer has been completely unprofessional carrying out their release dates. I cancelled my Razer Blade 2016 preorder after it was delayed 5 times and decided to wait an extra month for this year's MacBook Pro instead (fingers crossed for WWDC).

I feel bad to those who ordered a razer blade stealth, and were planning on using it with the core

I really hope that I am not getting my hopes up, but I am betting on Apple announcing a kick ass MacBook Pro on the 13th. One that will silence all of the naysayers who think that Apple doesn't care about the Mac anymore (or has lost it) and one that will raise the bar for the PC industry. Instead of "Think Different", I am going to "Think Positive" instead...probably because I'll tear out my hair out otherwise.

And if they don't? Well, I'll worry about it then, I guess. There is no use despairing before you have to.

(Yes, I'm nuts.)

Thinking about how there's been a lack of rumors, I'm realistically thinking there won't be anything major. Seeing as how Apple is obsessed with making the underpowered and underutilized iPads a competitor against PC's, I just don't see Apple all of the sudden without any solid rumors prior releasing the MacBook pro we all want.

That may even be true, but you (Apple) can't seriously believe pros out there (musicians, video/photo editors, etc..) can use an iPad (whichever model they get) for their daily tasks!

I mean, I've never owned one (not really suit my needs), but all considered is still a really under-powered machine if compared with Windows competitors...and yes, I know this is pretty obvious.

I don't believe Apple could be so blind to believe that just with a marketing move they can convince millions of creatives to turn to an iPad instead of an i5/7.
That would mean they've completely lost their route and so deserve what will come next in this case.

What I see more realistic, even considering pre-unibody strategy, is that by re-introducing the MacBook they're splitting the audience again between "regular" users (web browsing, email, little photoshop, etc..) and truly pro users (heavy power consuming tasks).

And guys...don't forget that back in the days the MacBook (especially the black one, I loved it) was a super decent machine, serving the daily needs of lots of people, myself included.

I don't put much stock into the lack of rumors, and even if we do get them it doesn't mean they will be true. Just look at all of these iPhone 7 rumors. If you believed everything we've read about that's been published by MR, you'd come away with the impression that it will not have a 3.5mm jack and will have one...at the exact same time! As far as I am concerned, sometimes rumors are just as useful as having no rumors as all. Also, just because there is a dearth of rumors doesn't mean that something isn't coming, though perhaps this is just my wishes getting in the way of my more rational thinking. I don't know. I mean, it's always possible. I still think that Apple cares about Macs, at least the portable ones. (After all, you need a Mac to create iOS apps, so they would have to care, even if it's just for that.) If they really didn't care then why wouldn't they have even given the 15" MBP a refresh at all last year, even if it kept the same processor? They could have just kept everything the same, rather than updating the flash storage with something that was at the point the best in the industry.

If they were going to just do a spec bump and minor refresh, we would have seen something by now IMO. So, it leads me to think they are waiting to show off something new and fresh.

Really looking forward to upgrade my mid-2012 rMBP, damn for 2 years already.

How you think, IF rMBP is uncovered on WWDC (must be, no matter which drugs they at Apple take), will it arrive to a US address by 11 July?

I counted like: 13 June it is available/announced for preorder.
Then after two weeks at 27 June I can order.
Then order processing and shipment takes two weeks, so by 11 July I put a hand on it.

Sounds correct?

Steve Jobs used to say that doing LSD was one of the best decisions he ever made, so if they are on drugs at Apple, it would probably be that.

Easy: more profits. It's the first Apple priority

Sorry, my bad.
:D
I've just copy-pasted the specs from the MB, which is obviously underpowered confronted to MBP.
Also, I don't know well the difference between LPDDR3 and DDR4.
I'll edit the post.

What happened to the razer blade 2016 and razer core has they shipped yet? Mainly interested in how the razer core is performing. Are they delayed?

Well.. if Apple won't announce it or at least mention something about the rMBP, i'll probably buy the 2015 model or a dell XPS... or wait a bit longer. Oh wait..o_O

Don't want to ruin the party here..., but same thing happened back in March...
Hahahaha memories. Funny thing was that even though we had reached the concencus that rMBP weren't going to make an appearance at the march event people still were like:
"GUYS,SHIPPING DATE SLIPPIN', NEW MACBOOKS INCOMING :D!"
While the few rational were like:
"Umm..that happens all the time"
But as usual people don't listen.
I lol'ed so hard after that march event with people here.

For future reference guys:
If new MacBooks are going to make an appereance on WWDC we should see shipping dates slipping on the STOCK models, repeat STOCK (unconfigured) models, on wwdc or before.

Hahaha so true

The best past is that some people thought the delivery times were slipping because they forgot that the postal service doesn't work on Sundays, which delays it by a(nother) day haha
