Yep, almost 500 pages and still nothing. Like I mentioned earlier, wait until June 13th for better information, this thread is giving use nothing substantial at all about SkyLake. :(

This is now the second biggest thread EVER in the Macbook Pro forum section. Number one? "Waiting for Haswell MBP Megathread"! That reached 621 pages, 15,518 posts before finally being locked.

New rMBPs with Haswell were announced ~555 pages in.

What does this tell us? We need to try harder, post more! Can you imagine telling your grandkids you participated in the second longest MBP thread on the internet when you were young? "Granddad, you're such a loser".

There are only 20 days left, the pressure is on!!

OMG SILENT RELEASE o_Oo_Oo_Oo_O:confused: look at apple.com !! wtf *__*

I got extremely worried there for a second...

What DAW are you using?
I'm getting great results with an MBA and Studio One. It ran PT 11 pretty Good too.
Just curious if ITS your DAW or the size of your sessions.

I'm using Ableton, but usually I have to work on 25-40 audio tracks, and each track I have to do first "the dirty job" since the artists won't know how to deal with compressors, EQ's, etc. After cleaning the mess, I enhance some harmonics, use positioning reverbs, do mix compression on groups, some parallel compression in some channels, open the stereo field, give some "analog" character to the audio with plugins, etc. So a "normal" size project tends to end consuming a lot of CPU, mostly because of VST's/AU's. MBA gets a bit slowly but it's still workable, so I can still wait a bit more, but once the new MBP 15" comes, I will definitely switch to it.

I imagine June 13th going something like this:

All iOS, OSX related stuff and watchbands had been revealed, the conference seemingly nears the end as Timmy prepares to head off stage, the forum starts to riot, then suddenly.... Timmy turns around and says "one more thing", a familiar but slightly different silhouette appears on screen.....

At this point I don't even care what they release, I just want to see something happen. I'll make my buying decision after I see it, but for now I just want to know WHAT it will be.
