Why u so silent? Don't say that WWDC announcement for new rMBP is cancelled

Because people called me things around here and I don't like it risk a lot of things just to get called a troll or whatever.
More so i am loving the new project so...
And for those who believe that apple will use usb-a in the next redesign i tell them 2 things
1) apple is not making redesign Every 2 years , so if they want to keep usb-a they will keep it until 2020?
2) there are chanses 1 to 3 for the next mbp to keep usb-a

At this point I don't even care what they release, I just want to see something happen. I'll make my buying decision after I see it, but for now I just want to know WHAT it will be.

Same here. I would have bought ANY new MBP they released in March just so I could have a proper external 4k monitor support. Now I need to be blown away and the price better be attractive. Hopefully they waited this long to produce an outstanding product.

Those are not R9 480 benchmarks. Those look to be that 2304 GCN core, 1266 MHz engineering sample scores, that are found in SiSoft Sandra. AMD appears to still be tuning up the core clocks.

I remember reading this thread when deciding whether to buy a macbook pro or wait. I ended up buying it and that was 9 months ago. I'd buy a pc laptop by now if I decided to wait, wrongly thinking new macbook pros would come out by now.

This is now the second biggest thread EVER in the Macbook Pro forum section. Number one? "Waiting for Haswell MBP Megathread"! That reached 621 pages, 15,518 posts before finally being locked.

New rMBPs with Haswell were announced ~555 pages in.

What does this tell us? We need to try harder, post more! Can you imagine telling your grandkids you participated in the second longest MBP thread on the internet when you were young? "Granddad, you're such a loser".

So what about this story on replacing iPads with Macbooks on the Mac Rumors main page? I like this quote:

One teacher wrote in the survey that iPads "provide no educational function in the classroom. Students use them as toys. Word processing is near to impossible. I applaud this change."

Apple has apparently acknowledged that MBs (and hopefully MBPs) fill a niche that cannot be covered by iPad Pros.

Why don't we discuss this after the event, the same question has being asked numerous times already. Hell, everything that could be discussed has been discussed. Let's wait patiently to see (finally) who's right.

BTW 10.11.6 has been released, can someone dig through the system folder and see if there's evidence for new rMBPs. We have had support for Iris 580 since 10.11.4, but nothing more. I don't know maybe Alpine Ridge Device ID's?
