I caved and bought a 2011 thinkpad on ebay.
Threw in an SSD, 16GB ram, hitachi hdd.
Replaced the screen with an alienware m14x screen.
All i need right now is something to write on, and its keyboard is legendary. Stolen from the gods.
But im still getting a MBP for everything else - content consumption and creation. Audio/video/image editing and all that.
Then I've got a desktop pc for gaming.
I'm all set lads.
EDIT: yes it was a drunk buy. The impulse to buy a macbook has translated into the urge to throw money at any laptop shaped thing. This is too long to wait to buy something, **** me.

Then people will complain because they don't have enough X type ports, and they should be all Y types (of course the type that everyone on his own wants), or will complain because of that USB A port they didn't make a complete redesign, and instead they just added USB C's and Skylake.
Conclusion: you can't please everybody, people will always find something to complain about.

That Serban guy will just say things change, like he said in a post a little while back. He's a troll and obviously looking for attention.
The blame should go to the gullible who actually believed a word that he said. They fed him what he wanted and now those people are left deflated.

To be completely fair, I'm not quite sure I believe what Ming Chi Kuo has to say either. Rumors aren't always true, and Ming might be completely wrong. Remember, Apple said at their earnings call that they expected Mac sales would pick up in June, and I can't believe they would leave their products stale for back to school.
He will probably say how he only tested one of the three prototypes (seriously his stuff couldn't get any more ambiguous).

Honestly, I don't think I'd want an OLED touch bar above the keyboard in lieu of actual, physical function keys. That would ruin the whole thing for me. It's rather gimmicky and it be far less optimal IMO.

Not gonna lie, gimmicky or not, those features sound pretty cool It's something actually different for once and that's interesting.
