Wow this just looks like a KIRF rMB. It has:
  • the same edge to edge keyboard with large buttons
  • smaller function keys
  • large left and right arrow keys
  • a power key on the keyboard
  • speaker above the keyboard
  • same color scheme, black display and gold body
  • the ZenBook logo below the display
  • a glass trackpad
  • only 1 USB-C and a 3.5mm jack
  • same tapered design dimensions
  • same rubber feet and screws at the bottom
  • that lid opening below the trackpad
Did I forget anything?

it has optional fingerprint scanner (time 01:00 )

Wow. Was going to upgrade my 2015 rmb, but I think I may hold out even longer now if Apple fail to deliver a nice 13" refresh at WWDC.

Imitation by definition must be in quality too, not just in looks
This is an inferior product for an ultrabook user

yea wait to try that keyboard and those speakers, and that screen
[doublepost=1464607535][/doublepost]Macbook vs Zenbook 3 pros and cons:
Macbook has better keyboard, speakers, build, screen, design, trackpad, battery, heat and noise, resale value
Zenbook has better camera, usb-c port, cpu performance and ability to chose 1T ssd and 16 gb ram

Now you choose

Have you EVER even seen the new Asus Zenbook let alone used one?
Because you have made an awful lot of assumptions and opinions there!

Better speakers?
Better keyboard?
Better build?
Better screen?
Better design?
Better battery?
Better trackpad?
Better heat and noise?

You know all this how exactly???

The ONLY thing I currently believe you got right on your list was the better resale value of the MacBook.

You're talking to Serban. He obviously has prototypes of every laptop that will be released this year.

I'm just thinking, could the picture of the black keyboard potentially be the 13" variant of the rMB? I mean now that Asus are launching 7th gen kaby lake core M, could this be the rMB 13"?

If it's true, it would suck to be a 2016 rMB owner right now I guess.

Yea but that is how apple make money. They did with the ipad pro, they launch first the 12.9" and after the normal one

Regardless of what Apple has done in the past, they really need to deliver at WWDC as Asus has launched some compelling products nonetheless.

hahaha ooohhh I'm not worthy!!! He hasn't got anything! just lots of 'opinions'.
Really ? Try it out, but with a macbook beside it to see in real life comparation and than come here and make me a liar. Test and then talk
[doublepost=1464613875][/doublepost]I can very easy to shut up but i post here my opinions on real life work flow to help others to know what they are getting from a device that are willing to buy

With an i5/i7, I'd be surprised if the zenbook 3 can fend off heat, noise and battery life woes like the (fanless) rMB can.

But you do have to give these things a try. Maybe ASUS will wow us with an ace up their sleeve.

The rMB does have a better screen than the Asus Zenbook 3. Asus only out in a 1080p screen.

Based on what? I love rMB screens but I think that you're a bit confused about that.

rMB 13" -> 227 ppi (Real resolution: 2,560 x 1,600)
zenbook 3 12.6" -> 275 ppi (Real resolution: 2,880 x 1,920)

Just to be clear, zeenbook 3 has a better panel resolution than the rMB 15.

No this is not Space Gray, its black
Yeah, I know this could just be a colorwared rMB, but what if... It fits as a new rMBP with color options and the butterfly-keyboard.
Jon Rettinger gives no information on how he got this picture, could be just troll. But, i would LOVE a black option, and some images of the upcoming rMBP.
(sry for repost, wasnt there when i started typing,,)

I hate to tell you guys but... that's literally just a retina Macbook with a black paint job.

The keyboard looks more like the current Macbook Pro/Air Keyboard that the Macbook to me. The Macbook keys aren't raised up at all.

If its a modified current model its a Pro or Air.

rMB has 1440p on a 12" screen so 226 ppi
zenbook 3 has 1080p into a 12.5" so 176.23 ppi

It's definitely not a current-generation Pro or Air. Neither of those devices use the San Francisco font on the keyboard (while this does), and the keyboard spacing and clear lack of travel means that it's definitely a MacBook, if it is indeed a modified current generation device. I'm hoping it's the 2016 MBP, as that would suggest it's finally being announced at WWDC.
