and in the meanwhile, Asus is boosting every-thin-thing they got with i7 7th gen...
Kaby lake it is only in Transformers 3 devices. Zenbook is not on 7th, but hey what i do know? im just a troll right ?!
I mean transformers 3 has 3 configs for cpu, Core M(7th kaby L) and i5 or i7 (skylake)

Really ? Try it out, but with a macbook beside it to see in real life comparation and than come here and make me a liar. Test and then talk
[doublepost=1464613875][/doublepost]I can very easy to shut up but i post here my opinions on real life work flow to help others to know what they are getting from a device that are willing to buy

And where exactly can you try this brand new only launched today laptop next to a McBook then? I certainly doubt you ever have done. Yet you make all these comments of your 'opinions' of the new Asus laptop without having seen one.
So yes I do call you a liar, because you have no idea what the new Zenbook 3 is actually like unless you were invited along to the press launch. All you have done is post opinions, no facts at all, you are a shill if you claim to have Apple prototypes or any other manufacture prototypes because you would NOT be on an Apple fan site blabbing about it if you did, because you would be fired the next day for breach of contract and the NDA's you would of had to of signed.

like i said i had a lot of non released devices to test, but i think you can't read or you never read, so i know what im talking. but i was referring you can try it when it will be release and see if i am right or wrong, if im a liar or not. But calling me a liar without a proof sorry but this is just a low iq judgement and rude. I am here because i use for my personal needs and personal life Apple devices because like i said, they are the most balanced devices with the best compromises. And i love the community. But if there are a lot more like you, probably i will change my mind

What would be really nice (IMHO) is if Apple would properly invest in a good docking solution for the Macbook Pro.

Imagine if Apple repurposed the magsafe connector to be a super high bandwidth docking connector that would work with a newly released thunderbolt display as well as an all purpose hub (for those like me that want to use our own displays). The Macbook Pro only has 2 usb-c/thunderbolt 3 ports + this super magsafe connector so Apple can design a computer optimized for portability (and battery life). But when connected via this dock (with external GPU support) the MBP becomes a great desktop solution. And all simplified by having everything connect via one supercharged magsafe connection.

Will probably never happen but I can dream...

I see the man in this gif is using a Thinkpad T400 series laptop.

They're built like tanks - very good choice for a chaotic home life.

Indeed, Lenovo is/was my choice Windows Hardware OEM until they moved to China (can't use them in my line of work, literally).

Who else here already has 100% of the money for this damn laptop just sitting in the bank making interest?!

I was a poor grad student and am now a poor post-doc, but I have all the money I need saved up!

Fall 2014: Parents: "What do you want for christmas?" Me: "My 2009 15" mpb is starting to die, and the cool new 14nm broadwells should be ready for apple any day now! Give me money towards a new laptop!"

Summer 2015: Parents: "What do you want for graduation?" Me: More laptop money! Apple skipped broadwell, so they must be about to release new skylake MBPs!

Fall 2015: Parents: "What do you want for christmas?" Me: <parsing intel ARK database> "More laptop money! Apple really really has to be ready to release the new laptops in Jan/Feb, for sure!"

Between gift money and my meager monthly savings rate over way too many months, I have a ton of money to throw at apple whenever they deign to accept it.

eGPU perhaps something integrated into the screen would be nice (people have been talking about that three hundred pages ago, a forward thinking bunch) but I don't really want whatever GPU they put into the nTBD to languish like the current TBD hardware has (still on TB1, no USB-C, hmm), I say

Apple will release a higher res, 1 cable solution over TB3, but this would exclude the new Macbook (no TB3) which is lame. Perhaps there is a way for the display controller to recognize that it's connected to a USB-C port without TB3 and allow power+display only throughput (plus whatever can be stuffed through USB since TB would be disabled).

I have high hopes for eGPU though, the community made eGPU happen on TB1 and TB2 back when we only had PCI-E risers and ill fitting enclosures, I suspect that even if we don't see official support for TB3 eGPU then the community will once again rise.

I fear your situation will eventually become mine - I've been saving for the 2016 MacBook Pro for so long, and while I've always intended to buy it in July 2016, it seems like that won't happen, so I'll just collect more money and get more and more frustrated...

Did your 2009 MBP survive into 2016?

Calling you a liar without proof? Sir you have provided NO proof of these apparent 'prototype' devices you claim to have.

And you will have HAD to of signed strict no disclosure agreements and contract of employment unless your self employed, stating you will not discuss or leak any of the 'prototypes' you claim to have access to, otherwise you would face disciplinary or/ and legal action, this is a fact.

I see you G-Man ;)

Yeah just bought a refurbished T420 - the keyboard feels like typing on waaaarm apple pie :p
Everything is replaceable, even the CPU.
And it's waterproof.

1,920x1,080 ain't bad. 4GB base RAM ain't great. Wonder how loud the fans get...or how long they'll last for that matter.
I disagree on the resolution.
For me, having a 1080p screen on laptop is like releasing a 480p Tv right now. I agree about the RAM too, but at least you can upgrade to more.

trust me i know and i am not so stupid...people here prove that i was right before, i never made mistakes to make the connection from a brand that maybe sent me a particularly project and make the connection to me and only me. Private messages are more secured. i always make some generally hints what about to come next that can lead to any other admin or apple employees

i think the fact that he always stated there are 3 prototypes (still?) is a well built loophole/alibi that can confirm his 'predictions' whatever comes out. but time will tell right?

btw, did someone say before that kaby lake core-m has been announced already? when will it be out on the street?
isn't that a bit pathetic for the rMB which got updated to skylake 2 months ago?

You really haven't been right before though....

i think if you are not coming from a higher resolution, an 12.5" 1080p its more than ok
I disagree.
