What do you think he was trying to explain? Plus he already said that it is the new thing he had never seen.
I wish the 12" MB has that glittering logo :D
And what is "expected to be revealed " tomorrow?

Somebody tweets him and says "Do you expect me to believe you've got your hands on a 2016 Macbook?" and he replies with "Isn't any Macbook bought today 2016?"

I think he means that the current Macbook is 2016

You never know. Asus are launching Kaby lake Core m today, why can't apple?

Also didn't the Asus Core M tablet have thunderbolt 3 support too? Imagine, a 13" rMB with external dGPU capability.

TB3 for sure. I am expecting the rMB to support external gpu soon.

But no kaby lake. Asus is not shipping kaby lake core m.

If Apple skips Skylake and announces Kaby Lake rMBP's I will be the first to say I am really impressed with Apple for the 1st time in a loooong time.

Kaby Lake rMBPs are impossible at the moment as the chips haven't been released, whereas Core M kaby lake chips may be available based on Asus launch today.

Not sure what do you mean.
Anyway, I am going to take this as a behemoth grain of salt.

Didn't they launch 7th Gen tablet? I assumed it was core M as it was a tablet and 7th gen points to kaby lake? TrustedReviews says it's a 7th gen processor.

The i7's for the 15" MBP haven't even been available for a month yet (just a couple of weeks), and you expect them to just have a Kaby Lake variant out? That makes no sense. The processors that are appropriate for the rMBP in a Kaby Lake variant won't be out anytime soon.
[doublepost=1464637719][/doublepost]I still can't figure out why they would make a 13" rMB and not a 14" rMB. There can't be much of a difference between 12" and 13" to matter much, is there?

i'm not used to these argumentation, but this time i must say: with what the competition is offering, i still believe the rMB is a nice ultraportable, but the base 255/8gb should be offered at 999$, while the 512/16gb at 1299$.
that would solve all the outrage from my side.
in italy the top model goes for above 1800€. it's plain ridiculous.

Lol, Apple isn't magic. They can't release things that don't exist.

yes asus tranformers 3 core m is kaby lake but its not released yet. June

they cant from profit margins point of view offer an 256ssd with 8 gb ram and that screen at just 999$. But yes, they could make it 100$ cheaper with second gen

not to say anything but apples plans are to skip kaby lake and to go directly to cannonlake that offer by default tb3 with no need for alpine bridge
