The macbook air days are numbered, only the price keep the mba on sales, when the macbook will come around 1099$ the mba will start to be removed, both of them or one by one

I bet you knew before Tim Cook
No, i really asking. I know they do it at a specific interval

I can't believe that glittery Apple logo is real. It looks ridiculous. They...they wouldn't release a Mac with that would they? Instead of "My First Pony" it'll be "My First Mac" and be marketed to 6 year old girls and teeny boppers.

On a second read...I think Jon just teamed up with Colorware to hand out this custom coloured MacBook. Therefore it's not a case or skin...and is a modified product. I doubt new MacBooks tomorrow.

I follow Jon Rettinger from TechnoBuffalo from time to time...and he's not the type of guy to jeopardize his relations with Apple over a single product leak.
If this is a never before seen product I'm sure Apple has given it to him. Perhaps they'll be holding a press conference tomorrow to reveal the 13" variant for rMB. However...2 things don't seem right. WWDC is around the corner...why not show it there. Secondly, that glittery logo just doesn't seem right...unless Jon put a sticker on it...trying to hide something underneath (return of the glowing logo?).

Also that keyboard looks silver to me...similar to the Surface Book or PowerBook G4 keyboard.

Ive been following Jon since he started TechnoBuffalo, not that it matters. Any tech journalist would report a product if they got their hands on one thats not jet released. Apple would'nt even be mad, he is only doing his job. Not that they even have a relationship anyways. Apple is not a company that ships out their product to youtubers or techsites for reviews.

No they do not. TechnoBuffalo never leaks out pictures of products firsthand. They report leaks...they're not the ones leaking it.

Anyways it's most likely a custom ColorWare product.

I'm not too surprised, as it would be odd for Apple to launch a model that's just one inch bigger, and even more odd for them to announce it just before WWDC. But Serban's reliability is definitely even more questionable.

usually apple make silent updates in 2 days of the weeks right ?
so tomorrow he will post his re**ew of it

Bingo again....ok you got it guys...but hey this is a macbook pro thread...so we are off topic :)
[doublepost=1464638989][/doublepost]
like second gen macbook, they could show it at March event right? :)

kaby lake in the mbp has a high possibility to be skiped by apple , like they skipped broadwell and move directly to cannonlake with no alpine bridge
[doublepost=1464639285][/doublepost]
since you are in a macbook PRO thread you might be disappointed :)

He can't reveal a non official announced product to the public. But "hints" are allowed

Yep, nothing to see here.

"Teasers done. Full @ColorWare matte black MacBook coming this week."

The pink iPhone is seriously popular. If true, a more feminine MacBook might be popular on its own.
[doublepost=1464643874][/doublepost]Whether or not @Serban is telling the truth or not, lets not gang up on them, there's really no need.

We have things to discuss at the moment. Id rather that than nothing. Thanks @Serban I appreciate the comments anyway

Yup, no need to gang up on or shame anyone...if nothing else, Serban has kept many people distracted from the dearth of "legitimate" MBP rumours.

The keyboard looks more like the current Macbook Pro/Air Keyboard that the Macbook to me. The Macbook keys aren't raised up at all.

If its a modified current model its a Pro or Air.

How? Take a look again.

Macbook pro keyboard:
mbpkeyboard.jpg
*notice the gap between the trackpad and keyboard area
*notice the trackpad's rightmost position relative to the letter "d" on the command button

Macbook air keyboard:
apple-macbook-air-13inch-2014-g16.jpg
*Again, notice the gap and the trackpad's position relative to the command button

Macbook keyboard:
Apple-MacBook-2016-Rose-Gold-Top-KeyBoard.jpg
The photo from twitter:

Notice how the right edge of the trackpad is under the letter "d" in the twitter photo and on the retina Macbook, but not on the pro or air...

Notice how the gap between the trackpad and the keyboard area is exactly the same in the retina Macbook photo and the twitter photo...

Also, you said it yourself. The keys aren't raised at all... so it has a butterfly keyboard.

It's a modified retina Macbook.

Almost 5 pages of comments for a products that doesn't relate in any way to the topic and that just can't be real? That's why I love this thread.
BUT, seriously, what would be the point of a 13" MacBook with retina? The 12" is just the "perfect" implementation of everything the market was offering over 1 year ago. Why increase the dimension of a product that has been designed all around a single chip? By increasing the size they'll need to increase the resolution of the display, and so increase the battery only to find out that the actual generation of coreM is just too weak to keep everything work flawlessly. So they would need to add a different kind of processor and than again fans, and voilà ladies and gentleman another MacBook Air. And to be honest, a glittering logo? Really? MacBook kim kardashian edition?
If they are going to introduce new hardware they are going to do it at wwdc, probably even if they decide to just introduce a spec bump of the current line instead of presenting new products.

Competitors will use the spotlight offered by the computex to announce things and present innovations but Apple's only shot for the quarter is the wwdc, it will be just weird if they decide to silent update products 2 weeks before one of the few big events they use to have in an year.
But hey, I'm just an apple user, I like to speculate and keep myself updated, i Don't own any kind of super secret information, I'm just analyzing the facts.
If I'm wrong I will come back and say sorry.
If they're going to update something tomorrow then I'm going the expect a big white flag on the wwdc stage with just a slide saying: there's nothing to see here. Go home. See ya in September.
Or: we did't know what to do so we have just decided to start selling (again) MacOS and you are going to be able to install it on these machines from producers x,y,z.

Btw, let's start again with the speculations.
I've tought a lot about the possibility of a "touch bar" but then something came to my mind. One of apple's main focus at the moment is accessibility. Having a proper feedback under your fingertip is necessary for people with sight problems. Would a sleek and plain touch bar be a good idea to improve the user experience for those people with sight problems?

Yeah, confirmed as being the Macbook. Think it was the angle the photo was taken at, it looked like the chiclet style keyboard on the rMBP

No. What doesn't make sense is that Apple doesn't have Skylake rMBP's for sale in May of 2016. Announcing kaby lake rMBP for Q4 2016 makes more sense to me than releasing a skylake in 2 weeks for release at some future point.

I'm like a lot of others waiting to buy a new laptop but if Apple gets on stage and shows us a skylake MBP for sale this summer, sorry that's not a wow moment. Way too late.
No

i wonder if some one here know if apple release a silent update to a product at what time they do it ?

Hmm so still nobody knows at what time apples silent updates happen?

It's usually before I wake up. And I am in central time zone. But I wake up at like 9-10am

They may not have enough time to show everything at wwdc. A silent update they can do before wwdc. They have done that before, I can think of 2 wwdcs where they have done small Mac updates a week or 2 before hand

Also if they are showing new Mbps. They don't want the rmb to distract from it

Well, at least we'll officially know you that you don't have any inside info at all tomorrow.
No ? He never said he knew anything about tomorrow.
We will find out about John lake or whatever his name is tomorrow or Wednesday
