Okay. I wasn't sure because Dean Yu's photos above show the two placed on top of one another and they looked like they were the same size. Obviously I don't know what kind of image manipulation was used, so I wasn't sure.
However, it seems as if the computer itself is the same width, right? After all, each keycap is 17% larger and they managed to add speakers on each side of the keyboard. Knowing this, is it definitely possible for the dimensions of the MBP to shrink? I mean, it would have to, otherwise the only way to decrease the bezels would be to go up to 14".

cannon lake, there is no reason for kaby lake, at least cannonlake will no longer require alpine bridgeAccording to the latest rumors the threat should be renamed
"Waiting for Kaby lake MBP thread"
Okay after going through that information...I think its safe to assume that 14" is an option. The bezels surely (99%) will be thinner than the current rMBP, based on deductions made from the 12" rMB. So I think we might see an even lineup from Apple this time around.
Man this is looking even better by the day. I always preferred the 15" over the 13"..but loved the latter's portability. 14'' would be perfect harmony for me.
So you meean the famous 2030 MacBook Pro!?cannon lake, there is no reason for kaby lake, at least cannonlake will no longer require alpine bridge
or maybe this will be a 14" Mbp to allow for a 13.6" rMB in the lineup ?!? who knows?
Yeah I was jokingVery good point, though I am not optimistic about sd card and Hdmi. It does look like there is a port missing over there.
Though I thought all the holes are drilled by machines.
14" and 16" inch mbp huh. Will 17 inch users be satisfied with 16"? I will be but I was willing to use 15" either way.
Yes.
I'd be very happy with 16"
...but what if they just stop at 14" for the pro machines and make the 13.6 rMB (which @Serban states they're making) to fill in the 13" gap for those that don't require 'the power'?
One machine 'to rule them all' !?!?!?

I really hope the bezel size is reducedMaybe it's a 15" rMB with edge to edge display (and hence can fit in a 14" chassis)

I am going to watch the keynote liveWho is watching the keynote live (wwdc 2016) this year? I usually try to but something always comes up, this year not letting that happen.
UPDATE:
I was quite surprised. The thickness remains unchanged... or my eyesight?
Working on the img #3 now
Due to the lack of better quality image, the bottom curve of the "prototype" is unknown.
