So this is what we're going to see?
Note: Got this image off of a 9to5Mac user called "Cameron." I did not make this.View attachment 633914

That trackpad is huge man!

That's the idea, I guess, but I don't get what the purpose of the touch bar is in that case. If it's just a substitute for FN buttons, why not just have the buttons? It has to be able to do more than just that.

Also another thing. I always thought the font on the rMBP keyboard was too bold. And now think that the font on the current rMB is too thin. I hope they settle for something in between.

I've just found an amazing deal for a pretty much brand new MacBook Pro 15 2.5/16/512/dGPU for exactly £1000! I know it'll be snapped up by WWDC but a part of me is telling me to hold till WWDC! Ahhhhh first world problems!
Buy it and sell it after WWDC. Definitely worth more than £1000

Guys, from what I'm reading around, this thread is the very last happy land for those wishing to see new MBP atbthe WWDC.

So let's keep this place happy!!

Open to developer for specific app usage at the very least

Good God this "OLED bar" sounds like something Dell would think up. The first thing I did when I started a new job a few years ago was to unplug the Dell "multimedia" keyboard, chuck it in the bin and plug in my newly vacuumed Das Keyboard.

Two USB-c is enough. Maybe three on 16".

Hope track pad is invisible. I'd like to be able to dim or turn off the logo light.

No 3.5mm dinosaurs. Maybe hide it inside a USB-c (if possible).

Classic silver for me. I'll be favouring battery life so it'll be 16gb ram and i5. Keyboard options would be nice. UK short travel for me.

Ah, the last two days helped me a lot to get over this up and down with rumors, wishes, etc. Waiting so long for a new machine: I wanted to upgrade last fall from my late 2008 MBP which died finally in feb. You guys feel the pain, right?

Those "leaks" and nice mockups look fabulous. Just checked the apple page for the current rMBP and it looks already thick and old, ha. But I wonder why they would offer 4 times the same port. That's not Apple-like (less is more, buy adapters. etc.). What do you think?

For me, a pizza and a beer.
As dessert, a slice of cheesecake.

Thank you.

today, a normal working day, i've used almost 120 times the ESC key and 50 times F8 key.
i hope they are going to do that bar in a good way, or it will be just a problem to me.

Blimey, wouldn't it just be easier for you to learn how to type better?

;)

i don't get it, it's normal to me to end a command in Acad by using the esc key, and f8 it's for enable a specific function.
they both have alternatives but those two are the more practical.

Three?
Why should Apple use one dual Alpineridge Controller and one single?
They aren't really different in size. You seem to care about clean design, 2x2 is at least symmetric.

If you are going the TB3-only road, which I'm against but it seems to be the case - do it right and not half-assed.
Apple should launch:
- TB3 eGPU
- TB3 display
- TB3 dock
Probably eGPU and display would be docks themselves.

Maybe they can include a "fn key lock" with LED light which locks the top row of function keys, just like Microsoft Surface series.

I'm not really sure about this but I think Skylake processors only have support for 16 PCIe lanes and every TB3 needs 4 PCIe. Apple has to dedicate at least one lane to the SSD so they can't put 4 TB3 ports. I'm thinking we will get only 2 TB3, one on each side. But maybe I'm wrong and it is possible to put 4 TB3 ports.

F8 toggles Orthomode, but you know that.

I really hope you are wrong. Yes 14,200th post, yes yes yes!!!
