My dream is that one day, I'll walk into the flagship apple store here in London and shout, "MacRumorers, unite!", and together we can tell people to just hold on a bit longer for that updated MacBook Pro/Mac Mini/Mac Pro/Apple TBD/Time Capsule/Airport Extreme.

Thats great and all...until they kick us out of the Apple Store.

Someone keeps deleting the list and spamming the chat.

I would have like to have thought that the members on this sight were a bit more mature than a 13 year old in a YouTube comment section but that doesn't seem to be the case.

To the person whose doing it, take your attention seeking somewhere else. I'm sorry that your such a ****** person, I'm sorry that your life has so little meaning that this is what you do in your free time but no one else here cares.

To everyone else, if you've added your name in the last 8 hours you might need to add it again. I've had to add mine again and I first added it about that long ago. Sorry one person is ruining it for everyone. I guess even here we have those type of people.

So glad I refurbished an old Thinkpad to work on while apple gets its **** together.

Some folks are saying September release, can anyone speculate on whether it'll be mid to late September?

Jesus at this point I might be seeing you all in the Waiting for Kaby Lake mbp thread and at all your weddings and funerals thereafter.

Here's a message to the person who keeps deleting people's names off of TitanPad list...you are a douche!

I've had to re-add my name about three times now.

There's really no point. I'm sure Serban will have at least someone's name in memory for whom to send the leaks to, and hopefully from then on, that person (Or persons) can PM the rest of us the info.

Yup...

Plot Twist: At WWDC they will unveil the long awaited PowerBook G5 in order to make the current, stale MacBook Pro's look much better in comparison.

Just trust me...I've got sources. ;)
With monster quad A9X Soc (8 cores total) cluster interconnected with coherent fibre,
clock at 3.0GHz (G5 3.0 GHz promise!)
running Leopard 10.5.8,
quad channel DDR4-3200 16GB, 48 cluster PowerVR GT7000 series gpu 1536 shaders total 2.5TFlops,
1TB onboard flash NVME/PCIe
And most importantly, it will only consume 20W, and it is going to be fanless using behemoth leaking G5 liquid cooling solution......
It will actually be a nice system if they want to cluster few A series chips together :D

Good Lord just cancel that PM. Internet spamming at its finest.

Update: obviously we are entering control+V and delete Key race now...

I don't know buddy. I don't see That possibility very apple style. I mean the pencil is "the pencil" because you see what your are drawing...I don't know if it is a good idea, you already can use capacitives pens on your trackpad at the moment.

Ha, I never thought to try that. Just used my Pencil by 53 on my trackpad, the problem is hovering doesn't move the cursor position, so you can't really use it like a Wacom... which I've been thinking would be great, if they implement (Apple) Pencil support!

No they are saying it's going to be a more of a software event- i.e. very limited or no hardware announcements.

Get ready for some more macbook pro blue balls.

I think folks need to be prepared for an October release and the release of Kaby Lake. Get read for a new thread title change. PS I was here when it was still broadwell.
Rene Ritchie just make distance on the eGPU display, as the DarknetGuy stated even before, they have no info on an eGPU on a TB3Display, but one TB3 Display is coming, Rene Ritchie was wrongly convinced TB3 did'nt allow 5K Display output, when he was aware their theory, he retracted on aTB3 display with eGPU to avoid being an ******* at next WWDC when a TB3 is meant tobe introduced (with later availability) and this TB3 Display having No eGPU and being full ready for 5K output on a single TB3 cable, that's all.

I'll try to contact DarknetGuy tonigth for more leaks.

At least I'm pretty sure we will see an updated macpro and new macbook pro, a TB3 Display still possible, but seems never with eGPU, isn't necessary.

Wtf apple, I am worrying about you! You are increasing the iPhone refresh cycle to 3 years and in addition you are going to release new macbook pros in September..?! What is going on

3 years for iphone external design. 4 year cycle for macbook pros
It is because it is hard to draw beautiful things "every day" in industry

How much improvement would be exhibited by the 2016 rMBP (over the 2015) i.e. would the increase in efficiency by the newer CPU and iGPU be comprised by the cooling power requirements and / or throttling due to the smaller profile?

Is it just me or does Apple's reputation slowly seem to be degrading?

They have the money, the staff and the right teams to be able to bring out major products but their focus seems to be somewhere unknown. It is good if they are spending time developing things like an Apple Car and other home machines. But they are forgetting what they stand for and what their roots are. I'm just dissapointed.
Been waiting 14 months now for the new Skylake rMBP to see the light...

In retrospect, I am stupid I didn't buy a 15"inch mid2015 rMBP when it was "hot" off the press....

Apple's reputation is degrading because you were waiting 14 months for something that couldn't have possibly been released sooner than now?

I'm seriously concerned for the mental health of some people here.

Might not be accurate, but Broadwell was 10-15% more efficient in performance than Haswell (In 2015 15"), and Skylake is 10-15% more efficient than Broadwell. Thermal throttling, while it exists in the retina MacBook Pro's, is very rarely seen. Because of Skylake, I doubt we'll see it at all in the new MacBook Pro's. Overall, maybe a 20-25% increase in performance when compared to the 2015 15" rMBP.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion. I feel like the 2015rMBP is a joke. Broadwell was readily available and they didn't put it in. Huge slap in the face of their customers. I get that non-tech consumers don't know the difference, but it's a PRO notebook. Have some respect for your professional customers. After all, they're the ones developing for iOS which is apparently all that Apple cares about that past few years.

I'm talking about complaining about Apple because someone decided to wait 14 months for a laptop that's not out yet, as if that's somehow their fault.

As far as what you said, I'm sure they had their reasons, otherwise they would've used Broadwell. But what are we talking about really is 5-10% performance difference, which you'd never even notice in real world usage without benchmarks.

I just watched in the introduction to the MacBook Pro with Retina Display from the 2012 WWDC Keynote. I'm so ready for this it's starting to no longer be funny. I'm almost ready to just go an buy the current one after the video - all them feels :)

C'mon lets face it. We all know that Apple redesigns every four years. We know that. But they could at least keep their devices updated to the latest processors in the meantime. I understand Skylake has been available only recently. However, Broadwell has been available for quite a long time.

They've surely ignored Mac for sometime now.
