How about we all enjoy the summer weather...and not give a **** about MBP until WWDC. Lets slow down on this thread till then. And if Apple releases no MBPs, we can all rage for the next 3 months.

I'm graduating high school next Thursday and yet I'm thinking more about Macs than that!
Hahahaa high school....I still remember that like it was yesterday. Good days...good days.

And iGPU did change quite a lot from 5200 Iris Pro to 580, adding 50% more core units
No I understand that. I was asking if Apple used the same iGPU all through 2013-2015.

it has nothing to do with yelds or availability, since 13" doesn't have dGPU and Skylake-U has been there from January.
I assume the 13" has a OLED bar as well, and requires other components that need QA. There are a million and one possible reasons as to why Apple hasn't released a Macbook Pro. It doesn't have to be the worst case scenario.

And yes, by PC Cook means all kinds of computers/laptops, Macs included.
Cook also clarified his earlier comments, in which he asked why anyone would buy a PC any more, telling the Independent that he was using the term to refer only to Windows PCs, not to Macs.

“We don’t regard Macs and PCs to be the same,” he said.

No he didn't.

3. It is pointless to argue about random " leaks" from dark guy, light guy, Serban ( I also put my name on the list) or Croatian.

I was wondering, if we will reach page 666 and the MBP still won't be released...
Hell confirmed?

So when will we finally see it?
if apple makes changes to the mac mini and mac pro line, then after the iphone event. depends if Apple thinks an event for mac mini and mac pro needs an event...(mac pro will have same design so only internals will be updated).Mac pro has all the components ready for mass production, so an update is happening this year for sure...but only apple knows if it needs to speak about it or make it silently

I would buy that off you with the quickness, people around here acting like their macs dipped in gold wrapped in velvet and blessed by the pope.

hey could you like give me some tips to help sell my macbook on craigslist? i must be doing something wrong. Maybe a website with tips? Hell my rmbp has a brand new display (repaired bc of staingate) and 90 day repair warranty from apple (expires august 20th). idk what im doing wrong. smh. I also live in a city with 2.7million people in it. wtf

Serban,i dont know why you dont post the blurry picture with the WWDC event highlights here and only PM? i bet that picture even if its not entire visible but still everyone can see some of the event highlights...you know, a picture worth 1000 words.Otherwise i personal thank you

Some believe, others don't. So same as well as in religion (excuse me). There will be no proof, but hope is still there. So it depends on your point of view. Happines or depression? But don't worry, judgement day has a fix date at the 13th of june.

Damn It, I just hope that what Serban said is only an intended fog of war and he wants us to go to hell and back. I just can't imagine not seeing new hardware at wwdc. Waiting for September would be bad and now I'm pretty sure that I WILL NOT buy a two years old technology for regular price. Either update or no buy at all...at least at Apple's stall.

yes, they are thinking if they can fit apple watch 2 with iphone with macbook pro and apple display in one event

No release for MBP at WWDC

Ok.. so technically everyone here could go on a trip to Scotland, find Nessie, and still have enough time to make a trip to SF to find Big Foot before the next MBP is launched?

In all seriousness though, I wouldn't think that it makes fiscal sense for Apple. I know they have their seasonal lows and downs but the only way they kept up with the regular increase in revenue quarter after quarter was the staggered product launches. Unless Tim Cook really lost his marbles I doubt Apple would do this...? I mean he IS the financially minded guy at Apple right?!

So NO hardware release at WWDC? It is called "light focus" rather than "no focus"... :D

What can happen next week that give us a hint new mbp's are released?
Discounts on old stock? Slipping delivery times? What happened in the past prior a new release ?

Probably slipping delivery times - that's what's currently happening with the Thunderbolt Display, which is due for an update (though apparently not at WWDC). But there could be no signs whatsoever, particularly if Apple only previews the MBP and releases it in late June/July/August/September (which is probably more likely than an immediate release).

If the new MBP really won't be unveiled this WWDC, then they should at least drop the price on current ones... I will have to buy new laptop this summer but I'm not paying full price for old specs

I just have to ask.... why do you need 32GB in an MBP?

I don't personally need it, but if you're running several virtual machines and/or doing intensive video editing, perhaps in 4K, I can easily imagine 16GB not being enough. And if nothing else, it futureproofs the machine.

As far as I know, there's no precedent for Apple doing that. Just look at the MacBook Airs, which haven't been updated to Skylake and probably never will be - no price drop. The MBPs will stay at the same price until the refresh, whenever that is, which is one of the reasons why I'm waiting for the 2016 model, even though I need a laptop for university in September yet the new model may not be available until October.

Tim Cook's been Apple's CEO for 5 years now...he should really resign. They need to bring in someone who is enthusiastic about hardware and software as Jobs was. Not someone who is business minded. Apple is a type of company that prospers from creative leaders, not corporate leaders...cough cough John Sculley.
