I can't understand people are buying the current mbp now no new hardware comes out. They shouldn't get a penny anymore selling old hardware for the same prices from introduction. I'm waiting since March and keep on waiting. No way I'm buyin the current ones. Let apple feel that their customers are not satisfied anymore!

Amen to that. But students will buy now with that headphones offer and price cut

Hey, guys. Here is what I got so far. First I come from China. In a Chinese website ZHIHU(you can say it Chinese Quara), a anonymous guy posted info about mbp( including Oled bar, four type c and bigger touchpad) before any news and he is right. I suppose he is from Foxconn. Other than these, he says the new 13 mbp will have two cooling fans which may suggest the existence of dgpu. Also, all type c ports support tb3; no more light on the back; the base model start with cpu2.9, ram8, 256gb; Touch ID on the power button; no MagSafe; same ****** keyboard as nmb; thinner. The most important thing he says is that the mass production start August. I read this as "No mbp" on 13th.

Reading this...and I'm fine with whenever they release it...I'm quite dissapointed if what you said becomes true. I hate that keyboard (I'm sure others prefer it, not my preference though), don't care for the light, love MagSafe dearly.

And hold on...13 never had a dGPU? so whats up.

Here in the Netherlands there are even no headphones or pric cut. No Apple Pay, no Siri on Apple TV, no news app on iPhone ... Keep on lazy Apple!

On another note, can't even play Overwatch on the highest spec's 2015 15"rMBP at even the lowest settings for consistent 60fps lol
Typical hater? If you are in games business my child, get out from mac world

Is it possible that by moving the dGPU fabrication down to 14nm from 28nm, it might allow Apple to put a dGPU in the 13" and not have any thermal issues? Of course, they are making the machine thinner, so probably not.

Typical hater? I've been on this thread longer than you've been on this forum and I've stated my stance on Macbook Pro's, my child. It's more of a hater of the fact that Apple accepted putting in a below average GPU in a 3000 laptop and not putting out proper driver suppirt.

So you hate other users and you dont understand that apple is focusing on cpu and opencl? A high end gpu will burn your macbook, thats why you have laptops like alienware msi etc that weights same as 21.5" imac. Games are for kids and young people while macs are for developers video and audio editing etc

I get 50 - 60 on a 2011 27" iMac medium settings 1920 x 1080 using bootcamp. Stoked.

Perhaps you need to tweak a few things?

At least since we've only seen the 13" theres some hope that the 15 will have magsafe/HDMI/USB 3

Hmm, what if the 13" loses its "Pro" designation and is positioned as an intermediate model? There could be the MacBook (12"), the MacBook Plus (13"), and finally the MacBook Pro (15" only).

With the rumours of an audio jack-less iPhone, are we likely to see a lightning port on the new MacBook to connect headphones or will the new iPhone be USB-C?

At this point, it is more likely for the iPhone to go connector-less, than to switch to USB-C. An iPhone without a connector would communicate via Bluetooth and WiFi and employ wireless charging. It might have Smart Connector dots to jump start charging when the battery is too far gone to use the wireless mode.

I don't hate on any users. You're the one who labeled me as a typical Apple hater, a child, and can't seem to understand that a computer with proper support from Apple AMD/NVIDIA can handle games well. It's why MBP's with NVIDIA chips can handle a low intense game that is targeted for any game. If you bothered to read my comment, it was the lack of support from both Apple and AMD for Bootcamp drivers to get a decent performance.

"Games are for kids and young people while macs are for developers video and audio editing etc" - ****ing lol. Sure bud

I'm seeing what's on sale this coming week and if nothing stellar, I'll order the 2015 rMBP on educational discount after the keynote if no announcement.
I'll be doing the same. I'm starting at university this August and I can't wait much longer. Plus I need at least 2 USB A ports to plug in my audio interface. While the rest of the world may be moving to more modern parts, the music industry usually takes a while to catch up. We are still using USB 2.0 on most modern interfaces. Hell, almost all headphone ports are still 1/4", there are very few 1/8" ports on any studio equipment.

Games are increasingly for 40 year-old losers. Not too many kids to play games these days.

Just out of curiosity, why do "audio" folks need such high end performance? I can understand video folks needing as bit of portable grunt.

Don't audio professionals insist on 6mm jacks for analog? (Those that work in non-digital studios anyway...)

I'm looking forward to a world free of the oversights of the original USB design. If we can rid the world of these issues, increase performance and save humanity from nuisance, we should do it. Only a Luddite or a Bourbon would want to keep legacy USB ports. The rationale is always "because the that's the way we've always done it".

I don't think they can announce the redesigned 13'' without mentionning the 15''. If redesign there is, they must come at the same time, else it will just bring more confusion and frustration consumer side. Image buying the best macbook pro you can buy, a 13''. Seems like the best device to work on iOS with a laptop. And damn, a month or two after, they announce a 15'' that you wish you had in the first place but thought it was biggest screen size you could get a pro device. The disapointment.

Bouncing files and low latency are the biggest needs for audio pros. Quickly bouncing audio takes quite a bit of the cpu when it is happening and it takes quite a while on an older system. The other issue is when you're recording multiple tracks in at the same time (my small 3 person band has about 18 tracks when tracking live) without increased cpu and at least 16 GB of RAM the tracks start lagging. While this might be okay when mixing, any latency above 10 ms will cause timing issues and result in a bad recording. When mixing 20+ channels all with dozens of individuals plug-ins my computer will often freeze up, halting my work flow

It will be a nightmare for me if 16" is staggered to Q4 or Q1. First world problems and all...

You are so wrong on so many levels, I can post facts if you wish? But you clearly do not understand the topic you are talking about.
I guess you must be a developer or audio or video editor as why would you want a Mac otherwise?

Have to say I'm not sure what your angle is here but it's a bit suspicious to say the least.

But that is exactly what happened with the introduction of the unibody in 08, except then it was the 15" announced on its own in October, the 17" followed in January 09.

I didn't mind when there was no announcement in March - I figured I could use the money I had saved for other things, and I did. I figured 'Hey, I can get one after they are released at WWDC and after tax time.' They'd better at least announce that they are coming during WWDC... September is way too late!
I know that Apple are never the first to market, but to wait until September/October strikes me as lunacy... They are going to make the whole 'we do it better than everyone else' card they use so much harder to play. It will be that much harder for them because the other manufacturers are all caught up and getting to market first. I also don't know if my current MBP will last til September/October - the WiFi is already dropping out on occasion, needing to be turned off then on again; the CPU runs to 90˚+ for no apparent reason, causing the battery to drain in less than an hour... I am seriously going to have to consider my options if there's no announcement or info at WWDC...
C'mon, Apple®! Pull your finger out of your proverbial and at least announce new rMBPs for release before September!

I know this might be painful to remember, but, on a doll, could you point to the place where he touched you with the gamecube controller?
I suppose since I play games (mostly on consoles) and I'm not a kid anymore, I must be a 40 year old loser. I've been enlightened.:D
