Waiting for Skylake MBP thread

I know they were updated at same time. But the cMBP wasn't "quietly shoved under a rug two months later". They still sell the 13" cMBP today.
 
There is going to be a re-design and I won't be surprised if they give a different name to the new ones.

Let me back up and make sure we're discussing the same thing. You're thinking that Apple will announce new Macbook Pros in June, presumably at WWDC, but the redesigned model won't ship until August. In the meantime, Apple will release updated versions of the current Macbook Pro that will ship immediately? Am I understanding you correctly, or did I misinterpret you?
 
Just when I've given up all hope... just when I've finally accepted that we'll get nothing at WWDC, they pull me back in with a new rumor.

So I got impatient and ordered a Dell XPS this week. I recieved it yesterday and the machine I got was defective so I had to return. I was bummed out about waiting 5 days for a refund , but after reading the new possibility of MacBook Pros at WWDC I'm thrilled I may still be able to go the Mac route! :D

My XPS had a lot of issues, you just did yourself a favor. Wait for Mac, Dell sucks!!

As the half-rumours trickle out, my real concern now is that they do a simple refresh this year, perhaps with new ports. Then we'll all be wondering whether the redesign is in the pipeline at all and worth waiting for.
 
OMG, new rumours ? 5 days before WWDC.. I hate this up and downs because my nerves can't stand this. However, I was already prepared for october o_O Hopefully the new rumours was no joke. 5 DAYS !:cool::apple:

There was some mention about a 16" macbook pro, but I think that was pretty unsubstantiated. I assume it was meant that the chassis would be about the same size, but the screen bigger. I'd rather have a 15" in a 14" chassis, but that's just me.
In any case, that rumour is stale.

Exactly, I will be out of this mess - especially if this thing has a Retina Display, I'm sold. F*** all this worrying for a Pro. I'm fine with the Airs form factor...put in a TB3 and its future proof.
