Me :D

My dad said he'd buy me any laptop I wanted for college, so I have a free pass now ^_^

A pimped out 15" will do ;)
Same situation here, except that back when I graduated I said to him: "I'll wait for the Skylake rMBP". Here I am still waiting. Im going to max it out because I intend to keep it for a long time....and also because my parents are paying for it.

Edit: wanted to clarify that is not actually skylake (It's just Haswell 1.5, when you think about it) I'm waiting for per se, but Thunderbolt 3 specifically. Don't care about new design, I just WANT that port.

You should get the applercare plus, max out the 15 inch, and buy all the accessories (adapter, laptop case, whatever)

Should be able to reach $4000 :)

Sign me up for all of that :) - except the Applecare; I like to live dangerously :D

So, who's going to pre-order the new mbps right away? (If it gets released)
A 15" with 512GB. Unless, in the rare case they release an updated Thunderbolt Display, I'll think about a 13" paired with a TB display.

I'm trying to transition from a 27" iMac (non retina) to a 15" as my main computer for photo editing but I think I will miss the screen size.

Been watching this thread for the few months, more so the past 3 weeks. If nothing happens on Monday I might go for a refurb 2.5 or 2.8 16/1TB as I'm down to a 13inch Air for work and need a home machine with a larger screen. Here's hoping prices drop or something's announced that can be ordered on Monday.

I am. The cheapest 13" with 512GB and 16GB RAM will do me.

Then also would probably need a USB-C hub and a TB2 to TB3 adaptor.

Let's be honest though, none of that is getting ordered until September...

I'm hoping reverse psychology will work.

Do you think it is normal at this point that the delivery dates for the mbp on the apple store are for tuesday at the earliest? Normally wouldn't it be monday with the week end in between?

Stock models for 13" and 15" MacBook Pros in Australia ship earliest by this Wednesday but idk if that's normal or not, I remember they used to ship within 1 business day.

If new rMBPs were shipping on Monday, it would say "Available to ship: 1 Business day" or something like that.

If new rMBPs are announced, its definitely going to be a preorder or they aren't shipping for awhile. It also means we aren't even getting a refresh...

They'll add a USB-C connector and an OLED touch pad on the the Macbook with stylus support and call it a Macbook Pro!
