NASDAQ:AAPL) is expected to unveil the latest generation MacBook Pro later this year. The new flagship laptop from Cupertino-based tech giant is expected to come with updated specs and an all new design. According to reports, the device will come with a 5K built-in display and new artificial reality features for better gaming experiences. The new laptop is also expected to be thinnest laptop that has been manufactured by the company.
Previous reports indicated that the new device will be powered by Intel’s sixth generation Skylake processor and will come preinstalled with the latest Mac OS Sierra. Mac Rumors, which has been a reliable source for Apple product news in the past also stated that the new device will boast a powerful 5K screen with the help of the ThunderBolt display. Earlier this week, there were reports that Apple will discontinuing the ThunderBolt Display, but Mac Rumors stated that the ThunderBolt display will be getting an integrated GPU that will result in better graphics.
The new ThunderBolt Display with a built in graphics card will help Apple bring in customers as the new display will appeal to a wide range of users. The new display will also be able to work with any Mac device because of its built-in graphics support. The new display will feature a 5120 x 2880 screen resolution and will support AR features. The report also stated that the new ThunderBolt Display will feature USB-C ports that will also support ThunderBolt connections.
The new MacBook Pro is expected to be released in 13-inch and 15-inch models and will be released in August. Reports indicate that the new laptop will be similar in design to the 12-inch MacBook which was released last year. The new MacBook Pro is also expected to feature the Touch ID fingerprint recognition system, with the addition of a new OLED bar with capacitive buttons that will be placed on top of the keyboard.
