In addition, there are no rumors or leaks -.- Hard to be patientHoly sh*t . I just realized an October event would put us at >500 days since a refresh. With the Haswell 15" at 700-800 days.
Gentlemen, we've entered Mac Pro territory.
Soldering in RAM is not an Apple thing. It's a form factor thing. All other competing of laptops at that price point and form factor are also soldered in.

That's a joke, look at the iPhone, nearly every week there are new leaks. What ? Wait ! I think there were some rumors on macrumors.com, 9to5Mac.com and the verge of a slimmer rMBP coming later this year. Do you want me to provide you links ?

It means, that the last time the laptop/desktop computer was updated with newer spec, is soooo long ago, that the current specs are listed in the bible.

8gb/128ssd?I paid a total of €1181 for the 2015 one. The Apple price at the moment is €1449 and I expect it to go up. Perhaps the OLED bar will be so awesome it will make me want to spend extra €260 – or €360 – plus however much dongles cost... but I don't think so.

Yup. Enough for me – at least in foreseeable future.8gb/128ssd?
That's what I thought too... sad part is 128GB goes really quickly when you install things like Office and Photoshop. 256 is really the sweet spot for the 13" rMBP.Yup. Enough for me – at least in foreseeable future.
A dark, dark place.

The XPS 15, 21.5 iMac, and the way they updated the Mac Mini(Soldered the RAM even though there was no redesign.) leads me to believe that Apple would've eventually soldered the RAM even if the rMBP was still as thick as the old cMBP.Erm XPS 15? Lighter than Rmbp 15, thinner and can change BOTH SSD and RAM.
