Yup, I totally can't afford this maxed out rMBP 15" mid-2015 I'm replying you from. Every comment I go to a shop, log in into my account and write a response. It's enraging.
You may want to dig a little deeper. Check out Craigslist and Ebay. I bought my last two rMBP 15 maxed out with 512GB SSD from Craigslist for $1,500. I also find it is much easier to find those great deals for Apple product. There is no luck finding a Dell XPS 9550 on Craigslist, for example.

If you bought a 2015 rMBP now, you could sell it when the 2016 is released and lose virtually nothing. That's the nice thing about Apple re-sale value.

In other words, if you need to update your computer now, just do it.

Weeeeeell, it's not like you would CHOOSE to do that.
If you had to have a laptop right now, that's a fair option.

No it's not. You'll easily take a 500$ hit if you buy new. Prices will drop drastically when the MacBook Pro is refreshed also.

Did you just say my name three times? Cause I was yanked here from another dimension, and it was NOT enjoyable!

When I'm able to finally purchase the new rMBP, I'll be able to ship it to the Apple Store that's in their Cupertino campus. UCSC is so close by that I can just go there to pick it up :)

I don't get why people bring the cost argument. A XPS or a Surface book costs as much as a rMPro, so am I missing something?
People think that "i can't afford this" is the same as "it's too expensive".

Ok, am I going to have to be the one who says it?

It's quite obvious at this point that Serban was Tim. We banned Serban which hurt Tim's feelings.

Now the Macbook Pros have been severely delayed as retribution. This is an obvious conclusion made from infallible logic.

Just pointing out the elephant in he room.

Can we just let Serban back in? He was pretty much spot on for what he thought. Still don't know the reason he was banned

Ummm what? Everything he "predicted" had been previously said...he just regurgitated info from trusted sources and made up stories about his three prototypes (very convenient right?). You know...so he could always be correct whatever the outcome. You should really go back and read what he posted, cross reference it with articles at the time, then you will realise why he was banned. That vermin deserved the ban hammer. Good riddance.

My late-11 MBP now takes 15 hours to fully charge and when is connected to an external monitor, the fans run full speed 24/7. It seems I'm doomed to buy the 2015 model :(

I just want someone that knows something to tell us something that we can cling on to
even if it's BS? I could start making up stories if you want, a la Serban. I don't want to get banned though. I always wonder if he created an alternate account and he's been watching all along.

So, is there any consensus on which month Apple will announce the new rMBP?

I think they will do September this year like their September 2014 event:
1. iPhone 6 (2014) - iPhone 7 (2016) - Routine
2. Apple Pay (2014) - Apple Watch 2 (2016) - Cool new thing
3. Apple Watch (2014) - rMBP (+ Mac(s)?) (2016) - Whole new product

Seems like they are getting it down to three major product announcements in their September event so they don't have to have an October event.
But, they could do an October event for all Macs in which case I would die.

The other thing I wanted to ask as there seems to be no consensus on this either, will they have Kaby Lake 13" rMBP?
15" are out as far as I've read but 13" could still be in the cards if they get early access from Intel (which they have done in the past).

But that doesn't matter to me at all really. I'll be very happy with Skylake. Kaby Lake would just be the cherry on top of this amazing cake that Apple seems to have planned for us. It's just really September vs. October for me at this point.

Another thought...we haven't seen any Apple Watch leaks at all, and it might launch along side the iPhone. It's weird how secretive it still is. Meanwhile the iPhone is leaked continuously all year.

That's because most of the iPhone suppliers have been identified, which is not yet the case for the watch.

Right, but you're quoting my post in a way that makes no sense. You may think that you're mirroring my opinion in a clever way or something, but that did not come through, since we don't know what you were thinking when you did it, and you clearly forgot something.
[doublepost=1469431053][/doublepost]I'll be the new Serban if you want!

Is there anyone in this thread who has lost a family member with an E in their name... They want to talk to you! They have a message about the graphics card in the new Macbook Pro... They're saying... Amd or Nvidia...? Yes, it'll either be AMD or Nvidia, but it could also be Intel... Or Matrox! Oh, I lost them....
