It's very clear. There are no new MacBooks because they will run only at OS X Sierra. And Sierra will not be out on the 7th. So nobody will be disappointed!

why should they show iOS, WatchOS 3 again? they have done this already in June. September event is only for iPhone and Watch. No so much to show for 1.5-2 hours show.

First I waited in March for new Macbooks, then in June, September.... And now I say "F*ck you Apple".

Right there with you. After getting my hopes up for the past few announcements, I'm going to finally believe Gurman and others who say no MBPs at this event and hope for something in October.

What Apple could do to really mess with us is announce the release of Sierra at the Sept 7th event without mentioning new MBPs at all.

Also means nothing. When Apple did last years event to avoid having an October Event, they not only announced 3 products, but the Apple TV wouldn't release for month or so later, and the iPad Pro November. If Apple is not having an October Event like last year, release date won't keep them from making an announcement.

I don't understand people saying that there will be no new rmbps on the 7th because Sierra is not going to be out on the 7th. They can always announce it and start shipping in the later months. All recent mb releases were like this

they announced the iPad Pro and the Apple TV that event but didn't release them immediately because they were entirely in new categories. the base iPad Air 2 was $500 while the iPad Pro is focused on professionals and had a much higher base price. same with the Apple TV. announcing them but not releasing them would not hurt their other products. if Apple announces a new MacBook Pro but doesn't release it, guess how many people will buy the current gen one? Zero.

Guys, please don't get my hopes up with your speculations. I'll end up spending another day at home becoming more and more dispirited as I slowly discover that there's nothing to watch--Gah! 'Watch'!!!!

Just Kidding: they're won't be any more Macs because all anyone needs is an iPad Pro... Right guys?

Just kidding: they'll be out in October... Right? Just like an updated Mac Pro.... Right? *please* Apple?
