Waiting for Skylake MBP thread

When should we expect the new MBP's? By the end of this year? Or 2016?

How ironic is that ? On the same exact date (9/11), this was asked year ago ... Still nothing mate, sorry. Might even be 2017 at this point.

Regarding the Surface Pro 4 [and 5 when launched] - if MS ever sort out the poor scaling issue of Win10 then I would seriously consider it. Fantastic hardware and equal to Apple [took MS long enough to get there though].

Waiting a day or three could result in having to wait an additional month or two before it ships, since the original retinas sold out as quickly and didn't have the pent up demand these ones do. I will buy on day one, if it sucks, catches fire or blows up i'll just bring it back to the store.

Sorry, I'm partially wrong. I don't think the M 370X is slower in most games or benchmarks, but it isn't too much quicker than Iris Pro 580.

No one knows what we're getting. Whether Skylake or Kaby Lake. Though if it is Skylake, Iris Pro 580 on the 6770HQ, 6870HQ and 6970HQ are very likely.

yes, but it's also pretty much confirmed. there will be a model with dGPU Polaris

YES, at the very least it was once a possibility. Intel GFX drivers (including Iris and Iris Pro 580) have been found in Mac OS (10.11.4) since March of this year discovered by hackintosh celebrity/demigod @Pike R. Alpha .

Thats more like shipping in 9 days. I've received stuff from Apple from China is two days. Granted the last BTO product from Apple I bought was in 2010 and it took 5 days.

BTO shipping times slipped to 3-4+ weeks before the mid 2015 refresh.... 10 days is nothing when you account for processing and the weekend.

I'm too lazy to search, but benchmarks and reviews showed how Iris Pro is better than M370X (it's not too difficult, considering how crappy it is).

For the 15", yes. 100%.
It is the one and only reason we are still waiting here, and Skylake MBP are not yet released.
Apple always used the HQ series of CPUs, which have the Iris Pro GPU.

APPROPRIATE SKYLAKE CPUS FOR MBP ARE ALMOST NEW, EVEN IF A LOT OF PEOPLE THINK THEY ARE "OLD".
