How decent are the iGPU MBPs? I really don't like how dGPU laptops noticeably fluctuate between active graphics cards, so I don't plan on buying the dGPU MBP (even though it means sacrificing some better performance).

Mind you, the video games I tend to play could probably be rendered on an iPhone, so I'm not entirely worried.

I think Apple put the warning out there as a, "under promise, over deliver" kind of statement. I doubt it's going to be that bad, unless you're a picky person.

Calling it again: https://www.apple.com/au/iphone-7/

1. Scroll all the way to the bottom
2. Read footnote no. 2:

"The high-gloss finish of the jet black iPhone 7 is achieved through a precision nine-step anodisation and polishing process. Its surface is equally as hard as other anodised Apple products; however, its high shine may show fine micro-abrasions with use. If you are concerned about this, we suggest you use one of the many cases available to protect your iPhone."

People are people, I can bet some fool will expect the iPhone to retain that gloss finish even after a few times in a pocket with keys.

But there will be a ton of posts when invites come out, so, release date confirmed for even sooner ;)

Don't forget all the post that will come if this site lives up to its name:D

I'd be surprised if there were no dgpu option in the "pro" line.

I'm starting to get into the idea of having no dGPU but rather an eGPU for docking. Like the Razor Stealth, but with a better processor. One major advantage would be being able to upgrade the graphics in a few years. Aside from that I'm not sure what the pro's are. Maybe better battery life on the road? But I guess if you want you can limit to iGPU only with gfxCardStatus, but I never have.

I wonder why there are still no leaks or info of any kind. We are supposed to be 1 months before the invites.
Honestly, no one cares. I mean that in the most hyperbolic sense, of course, but really, it's a small fraction of Apple's sales and the hype around its products. The general public don't really get excited for Macs and subsequently no one is willing to risk their job for such a minimal payoff, if there's even a payoff at that stage. Remember, there's an incentive to leak iPhone rumors to case manufacturers and others in related industries; that's not counting the incentive from media and whatnot.

Unfortunately it is far from linear. The first year hardly anything happened, and also the second year not much happened. I.e. the last year we created ~900 pages. So we are more like 2.5-3 pages per day:

Plot twist, they're gonna manufacture it in Texas so the obstacles for leaks are higher. I really hope to wake up one day (in the next weeks), to check tech news and see, that Apple just released them via press announcement.

I'm wondering how you get this chart? is there an option somewhere on the page that i haven't seen or are you using some kind of script to count and plot the curve?

Off-topic: I use a simple Mathematica script that boils down to:

ClearAll[GiveMeLink,GiveDate]
GiveMeLink[n_Integer]:="https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/waiting-for-skylake-mbp-thread.1661246/page-"<>ToString[n]
GiveDate[n_Integer]:=Module[{data},
j=n;
data=Import[GiveMeLink[n],"XMLObject"];
data=FirstCase[data,({XMLElement["i",{"class"->"fa fa-clock-o"},{}]," ",XMLElement["span",{"class"->"DateTime","title"->title_},{_}]}|{XMLElement["i",{"class"->"fa fa-clock-o"},{}]," ",XMLElement["abbr",{"class"->"DateTime","data-time"->_,"data-diff"->_,"data-datestring"->_,"data-timestring"->_},{title_}]}):>title,Missing[],\[Infinity]];
{n,data}
]

This will generate the url for the nth-page, download it as XML, find the first post, look for the date of post string, and then convert those to something we can plot. You have to execute GiveData for integers going from 1 to 961, then plot it using DateListPlot.

with a few more lines it is parallelised and partial results stored et cetera...

At the current rate we will hit a 1000 pages around October 1st, if more rumours show up we will hit it before October.
