When this finally comes to an end, and we get our Skylake MBPs, this thread should be published as an ebook and placed in the iBooks store for posterity.

Or Comedy Thriller?
My concern is, that Apple - as a matter of prudence - prophylactically priced the current rMB as high as $1299, that they'll be able to charge a minimum of $1599 for the 13" entry-level Skylake rMBP in the near future.
I truly hope that you'll be proved right, but in this scenario, why would someone prefer the rMB over the Skylake rMBP? Just for the ostensible portability?
To me, a price cut for the rMB doesn't sound like Apple in 2016, unfortunately.
We didn't even notice that page 1000 is almost here! At this pace we'll get there before October 1. Unlike some Apple laptops hohoho.Im secretly begining to enjoy the wait now.
So **** it, keep your Skylake MBP Apple!
Apple already did a second Snow Leopard not that long ago.
I will let this here,i don't need credit or something. The mac updates will begin with October as follow:redesign macbook pro and mac mini, internal updates for Mac Pro/iMac,and macbook air with Tb3 to work with the upcoming 5k Display with GPU.The OS will disable any mac with only iGPU and let the GPU from the Display take priority.
this would be so cool if true.
Considering the A10 Fusion Chip is a 2.33 GHz quad core processor, why don't we see that in MacBooks. They'll still be fanless, still be sleek, but will be more powerful than Intel Core M. I understand ARM on MBP might be far away, but whats wrong with having it on a MacBook? I think we might see ARM MacBooks (larger variants) in this upcoming refresh.
be careful posting stuff like this here...![]()
Yeah people tend to get real critical on here...but I think it might be a possibility.

I 100% agree with you. But many here don't believe that will happen.Yeah people tend to get real critical on here...but I think it might be a possibility.
I think it's more along the lines that people are afraid it will happen.I 100% agree with you. But many here don't believe that will happen.
Are you me? I'm in the same boat - had a couple of thousand saved up back in May. Then I got a new job, needed to move, and all that money went to various security deposits. Now I'm like, well, I'll just slap an SSD into my 2010 Mac Mini and that'll do me fine for another year or two or until MacOS forces it into obsolescence, whichever comes first.Im secretly begining to enjoy the wait now.
All I can think of now, is that Apple is saving me money, any savings I had towards my new MBP have been spent on other necessities since March and any purchase now would be on credit, even though I really need a new laptop its a bit like hanging in there with an old car, if it passes the next MOT i'll keep running it in to the ground.
So f*ck it, keep your Skylake MBP Apple!
if this thread was a movie, this post would be the moment Morgan Freeman enters the scene.

Perhaps the GPU needs work though?
