How will the page counter support a 4 digit number when we reach 1000 pages?
Assuming they don't adjust the css prior to crossing 1000, this is what it will look like.

Thats the real issue with the delay. Also Dell and others keep pumping out ultra slim models with ports (!) and performance above the Core-M class at lower price AND reasonable upgrade prices for RAM/SSD.

Not your best work, Tim.

Except today's models should have dropped by at least $500 already. Apple is just milking anyone that doesn't know any better.

If they were going to make that change now, wouldn't they have announced it at WWDC this past summer?
Well I don't think they would have to. It's just one more target to compile to. If they do it right it would not affect developers at all so they would not have to know in advance.
I assure you that Apple has not been working on a compiler for macOS apps to run on ARM hardware.
I was just guessing but if you are so sure we'll have a nice 'n long thread for waiting the next Intel powered 15" MBP. Well TBH I don't think Apple would have the courage to ditch Intel on the high end macs in the next few years.

After making us wait this long they better have redesigned the mbp or atleast added different colors.

I'm quite positive there's no css or javascript adjustment. It's gonna look bad but they will need to fix since this marks a new beginning for macrumours thread size

I mentioned that I was waiting for the new MacBook Pro to the Apple Store employee when activating my iPhone yesterday and she just smiled and said nothing.
The Apple store employees know as much as we do on the upcoming products.

Guys what do yo think is the % chance of surprise MBP release on the 20th? (the sierra release day)
Nada, but I still expect some kind of news the coming week, maybe the announcement of a keynote for the first days of october...

What will happen in October: spec update to many models like the MBA, Mac mini, etc (per Gurman.) I think they will probably just announce the MBP for delivery hopefully before the end of the year. The question is how will they announce this stuff, but there's no question updates are coming before the holidays.

I will look very closely what Apple is offering at what pricepoint.
The mobile Nvidia laptops with new chipsets and USB ports are probably a better choice.
I'm expecting a disappointing reveal that will show again how greedy and minimalist Apple has become.
Everything decent above 3.000 € is just not justifiable, because OLED bars and missing ports are not appealing to me.
Kaby Lake plus mobile Nvidia dual booting Linux is probably the way to go.

I am wondering. why we have so few rumors about upcoming rMBP? only about OLED buttons and USB-C? and we know it since May. maybe new rMBPs are not coming this year.
