So no price drop.... hoooray! (not)

This was dissapointing. Kaby lake and 50% faster storage and upgrade on the GPU

No drop in price
No bigger battery
No 32gb
No non-TB 15" MBP

I'm confused.

They dropped the 13" to same price as12" - good....but why would anyone buy the 12" anymore!?!

They also bumping the MB Air. They really need to consolidate some of these models.

Heh. I hope they made some silent updates to KB issues etc.

So.... I have an interesting situation. I have a CRU on order for my 15" tbMBP 2.7/512/460 after a few botched repairs. Should I ask for an early 2017 version? Hahaha

Some of these may still happen... but probably won't. A little disappointed myself - adding a cheaper, lower spec option does not constitute making your existing products better value.

probably have to wait to the end of the keynote to see the specs for the new MBP line somewhere...

I was thinking the same. Also where did you read about the bumping of the MB Air?

You're not imagining that, he did say the MBA was getting a bump.

I just read this on the official website: "Apple today also updated the 13-inch MacBook Air with a 1.8 GHz processor". But we still don't know whether it's Skylake or Kaby Lake.

The new "macbook air" aka mbp 15w got the price drop, the only one making the same price as the 12" mb? Wtf

Well I don't know why you need one of each, but leaving that aside, if you have the money are you going to buy the lower spec machine for the tiny bit lighter and quieter that it is ?? Not likely

Well the MB is my personal laptop, and my MBP is via work.

My wife would be the perfect candidate for a regular MB, even though a MBP costs the same price. She'll never utilize the full power of a MBP, so the 50% less weight will be a more enjoyable experience for her.
