My physical Chase VISA card was compromised by a restaurant delivery driver. I called and reported the incident and Chase immediately cancelled the physical card. Within minutes I received a notice on my iPhone that my new card was set up in ApplePay. The image of my card showed a different 4 digit ending than the physical card that was compromised. The new 4 digits matched the new physical card I received a week later. I was able to continue using the card through ApplePay without interruption. So that was an advantage of ApplePay right there....if the physical card is compromised, there is no interruption in being able to use the card through ApplePay. At least with Chase everything happened seamlessly in the background.
Nice! Thanks for the answer.
