I can confirm that YES some go directly to Ontario, CA from Anchorage. I live in Seattle. My wife got her 38mm SS w/ ML on launch day. Her UPS origination was Ontario.
Cool! I will keep my fingers crossed.
Thanks for the info!

Agreed, Apple customer service is getting a call from me shortly. This is not acceptable
Did they give you a 2-4 week shipping window at launch or a 4-6 week shipping window?
Because I doubt they're going to have much sympathy for your ire seeing as how you agreed to the shipping window and were fully capable of choosing the shorter window.
it's really sad to see the forums become as toxic with people who think it's logical to ship individual bands before people who are waiting on any watch. It's the typical "got mine, screw you" mentality that you appear to cling hard to. No matters, the attached image is the perfect solution to a failed viewpoint as yourself.
Spoken like someone who has never gone through order / customer retainment. Much like someone who throws their dollars down, and instead of a company working for you, well you clearly work for the company. It's the highest end of the watches (both Stainless Steel, and Space Black) outside of edition. Yeah, it's a big freaking deal especially to heads of IT organizations as well as major developer teams like myself.
It's a specific level of care, that apparently most people on here have *apparently* never heard of. I doubt you have any idea of what you're talking about at this point, but hey I'm loving my ignore list here on the forums. Thank god honestly, because it's really sad to see the forums become as toxic with people who think it's logical to ship individual bands before people who are waiting on any watch. I'm likely older than you and female, but feel free to ignore me.
I spent my money on launch day just like you did. I was shopping for someone else. My spouse. For our anniversary. A milestone anniversary, at that.
He wanted a SS Link Apple Watch. I discussed this with him and told him I'd like to buy it for him as my gift to him to celebrate our anniversary (which was April 30th).
Upon hearing that Apple had supply constraints and some combos would be limited, I asked my dear husband to let me know if any other combinations would suit him because I was concerned that he wouldn't get the combo he wanted on launch day.
He told me he would be happy with the SS with Black Sport band to start because he'd want a sport band for exercise.
He did, however, still want that link bracelet to wear to work.
So, at midnight on 4/10, before even ordering my own Apple Watch (that I had been waiting months to order and was excited about) I ordered HIS watch first.
The choice with the fastest ship times was the SS with BSB and a separate Link band. So, I ordered it.
I then ordered my own watch.
Tell me again why anyone else getting their complete SS with Link band is more important or deserving than my husband whose spouse (me) sat up late to order for his anniversary gift and bought it for him with her own money, spending more on that transaction (extra 49 for a sport band) than if she'd bought him the SS w/Link and let him wait.
Oh, hell no. Entitled? Not me. You? Abso-freaking-lutely.
Apple gave you the same purchase options that night that they gave me and EVERYBODY else.
It's not my fault you chose the longer wait. It was right there in plain English (or whatever language your Apple Store uses that I presume you speak and read fluently).
That you ignored the shipping estimates isn't my fault. It's yours.
I've spent well in excess of 2500 dollars on Apple Watches so far (I have nearly 1k more on order. My family is large.)
I'd say my personal "buying power" trumps a 1k watch charge this round, man.
Go bitch at Apple. I'm sure they'll give you a free Edition for failure to read the shipping dates.
And my husband? The guy waiting for that Link bracelet to complete his desired configuration of SS Apple Watch?
Head of a Fortune 50 dev team.
Get em girl. The most perplexing thing about apple products is that they are designed for mass consumption, yet there's a portion of the population that feels that there is some sort of status symbol associated with them, be it early adopters, first to own, difficult to obtain color/capacity/configuration. It's really sad.
One thing that this rough launch has done is galvanized the core group of macrumors members. I know who's a "good" poster, and know who the self important ones are now.
It's a gadget for godsakes. Get over it. I want mine as badly as the everyone else, but I'm not going to feel "special"
Thank you. I really miss the early iPhone launch spirit. The "we're all in this together" mentality that was on the forums and blogs back then.
When I bought that first iPhone on launch day in 2007, my eldest was a junior in high school and he decided on a whim to buy himself an iPhone, too.
We got home to hook them up to iTunes to activate with AT&T. His activated in about 15 minutes. Mine took 2 days. LOL.
I was flustered about the delay, (I had been the one eagerly waiting, not my son) but other people were in the same boat all over the country. Instead of me being angry over it, my son and I sat around most of that weekend and played with his, seeing what it was like, checking out features, etc.
It was fun. This stuff is supposed to be fun. That's part of the early adopter thing. Enjoying the experience.
Earlier today (yesterday, I suppose) I posted here that I wouldn't mind a bit if people who ordered SS Link watches got theirs before my husband's band shipped. As long as Apple stuck to the shipping window I agreed to when I ordered, I would be fine with other people getting their watches first. I know how long people have been waiting.
But, to suggest that it's somehow "unfair" that my husband be shipped his band within our shipping window because someone else didn't get their watch yet (who isn't even at the point where their shipping time window begins)?
That's so mean spirited. *sigh*

Bunnicula is not even worth it we give this guy the spotlight. We are on this together. I am one of those that has his apple IIe in the garage.
He is the same guy that run the stop sign to be ahead of you or enters the drive through the wrong way becaus because.
I refuse to waste our time anymore on this individual.
Congrats to all of those getting their watches. My window for the SS space black is 5/13-5/27.

Great! Next week. Exactly the week that I'll be out of town! Grrrrrrrrrrrrr! Can you say "just shoot me"?
I am praying we get the watches early, but am resigned to the fact that we won't see movement until next week. I am just peeved since I will be out of town, I leave late Sunday night and don't get back until the following Friday. It will be torture if it arrives when I am gone, but at least I will know it is waiting for me.
I would speculate that if it were up to most people in this forum, they would have preferred to have gone to an Apple store, tried on various Apple Watches, talked to an Apple store sales person and walked out with their new Apple Watch that pleased them the most. A happy and satisfied Apple customer. It remains to be seen if Apple will use this same formula for the launch of their next product......Apple Glass (jk). LOL. Enjoy your Watch......when it arrives!
:/ I'm stuck in the dreaded "June" delivery window... Wish I knew how many others had this delivery date so I could estimate if it'd be early or late June. On the bright side though, at least I'll have an apple watch to call my own after this long "journey" of waiting....
My band has been shipped but expected delivery is the 15th. Was hoping to have it this week.
I'll be out of town the week my watch ships as well. I set up an account at UPS and put in my Vacation dates. They will hold my packages at a local access point and will deliver them the day I return.
