What was your delivery window? Are they missing it?

I got my notification for a ship date of 5/11. My window was 4/29-5/12. I think I know why they went ahead and shipped. With standard shipping they were cutting it close.

Maybe they'll come early. :)

I've learned some pretty nice stuff about UPS shipping this launch. It's good that you can do that, even if it would've been better to have your watch before your trip.

Mines shipped by UPS Expedited Worldwide. My shipping window was 4/29-5/12 so if it does come on the 15th, thats three days over the shipping window.

:/ I'm stuck in the dreaded "June" delivery window... Wish I knew how many others had this delivery date so I could estimate if it'd be early or late June. On the bright side though, at least I'll have an apple watch to call my own after this long "journey" of waiting....

When did you order? I wonder how fast these slipped to that vague date.

My daughter's watch order is "June," but we didn't order it until after she got to see mine and decide if she wanted one. She doesn't care when it shows up, bless her. I should never tell her MR exists. :)

It is frustrating to have such an ambiguous window for an entire watch. I assume they'll firm it up or ship in May, but still.

I bet it arrives early. If not, you should call and complain. I wouldn't raise hell over it, but I would see if they offer any compensation for missing the delivery date on a band that costs more than most of the watches they're shipping.

Where do you live?

I'm in Ontario, Canada. Do you think they would give any compensation for late delivery?

They may since they gave you a shipping window and aren't meeting it. I'd ask if it arrives outside your shipping window.

They're an incredibly wealthy company and this launch has had some hiccups. I wouldn't expect much, but I would ask.

I had a 6 plus issue last year and they offered to let me pick out a free accessory from the Apple Store, as long as it was under 100 dollars. My guess would be less compensation than that for a 450-dollar band, but politely voicing one's displeasure over a delay in shipping (if one occurs, as it may still arrive on time) lets them know that customers are willing to wait as long as Apple are holding up their end of things with reliable ship dates.

Lol, no.

Be happy you're getting it! What kind of watch do you have and what band?

I dunno. I'd ask. This isn't a 50-dollar sport band. It's a fairly pricey item in that it's the most expensive band they currently sell separately. Can't hurt to let them know they missed a window and he's disappointed.

I guess I'm just not that guy. I'm also not one to complain about an incorrect fast food order, or "tomatoes" when I asked for none, or other things like that either.

You're getting your watch band, it's three days late... Eh, pretty close. Not too bad considering the extreme sales they've apparently seen.

And in the end, it's a band for a smart watch. It's not like that liver you need is going to be three days beyond the expected window.

I'm not a big complainer. I just expect service as promised. I'm polite about it unless someone gets nasty with me. In the end, companies are doing business. They're not people. Even if the U.S. Government thinks so. ;)

I don't complain about incorrect food orders unless it's repeat behavior at a non-fast food type establishment. Even then, I just speak politely to management and I don't raise a big fuss. Mistakes happen. They are, however, an opportunity for management to improve their processes.

So, when would people (if you haven't yet) start to see CC charges and shipment notifications if you are to be a lucky one and have it delivered on the first day of that window (12th May)?

Thanks.

Excellent. Looks like they're working to honor your shipping window. :)

I'd say no later than Friday if my last watch order is any indication.

Ordered 42mm SS Watch with SS LB on 4/10 at 12:21am PDT.
Delivery window 5/13-5/27.
Status: Processing items.
Location: Indianapolis, IN USA

No change in status.
No charge card activity.
No PFS.

One week to go to be "inside the window". :D

I would speculate that if it were up to most people in this forum, they would have preferred to have gone to an Apple store, tried on various Apple Watches, talked to an Apple store sales person and walked out with their new Apple Watch that pleased them the most. A happy and satisfied Apple customer. It remains to be seen if Apple will use this same formula for the launch of their next product......Apple Glass (jk). LOL. Enjoy your Watch......when it arrives!

JJ - I agree, but I actually think this model is better from a control standpoint. I would have been just as happy to go to an apple store, have the try on appointment, have the apple employee place the order and have the watch in two or three days. Stocking the watches at every apple store seems like a nightmare with all the various models and bands.

Also, playing the waiting game with all of you is making the process bearable, lol

Enjoy your watch as well. Damn our companies for sending us away during such a pivotal window. Although telling my boss I couldn't travel these two weeks because I was expecting an AppleWatch did not seem prudent..... ;)

Nope. No Saturday deliveries. There were only a few of these on the 25th because Apple had given them the 24th as a delivery date and UPS missed it.

Expect to get it when Apple tells you.
