Yep, that's why. If you order today the 38 is June, the 42 is July.
I ordered 4/27. (obviously, in hindsight, should have ordered 4/10 and cancelled if I didn't want it after doing some investigating).
Hoping they make a big first batch and several weeks get whittled off of my ETA.
So you ordered your 42mm AW LB on April 17th and they essentially gave you a May 27th delivery date as the latest delivery date (2-3 weeks). I ordered my 42mm AW LB on April 10th at 12:21am(PDT) and Apple is still projecting a delivery between May 13-27. So in essence, my order is no more important than other orders that come in a week later! Apple definitely deserves the golden raspberry award for managing orders and supply chains during this launch.
Even worse, Apple is updating you with progress emails. While my order languishes in the Apple grinder status of: "Processing item" with no communications from Apple. Would you consider this good customer service?!
Don't mistake my frustration at Apple with anger towards you. I hope you get your AW quickly. I just am hoping mine arrives, at least, a day before yours does.
To relieve everyone's anxiety and stress, you should check out this website. Forget the watch, this is the next Apple product you want to wait for (but don't hold your breath). Enjoy.

It was actually a SS Link bracelet update. Did you read the whole post. I understand the rules. Why is it so hard for people to be respectful around here?

There's no way you had a 4/24-28 delivery date for anything because the watches that did ship on launch day were 4/24-5/8 delivery dates and none of them were ever the link.
I know because I was online when the store opened just after midnight on 4/10 and 4-6 weeks was indeed the first delivery window for the SS w/link.
The link band alone had a 2-4 week delivery date right out of the gate.

Dude how can u tell me what delivery window I had ? I personally stayed up to order that watch but then I decided to try it on I stores
No offense man but we were there too. We saw the store open up at 3:01AM EST with 4-6 week shipping for both of the Link Bracelet Watches. There are people here who even got their order in at 3:01 exactly and still didn't get 4/24 - 5/8. If 4/24 - 5/8 had ever been a viable delivery window then there would be people with those Watches by now, and alas no one has them.
I've seen people with the link not much about 4 people who had the link bracelet they got it last Friday so what are u saying ?
I'm saying the only people in possession of a Link Bracelet are celebrities and reviewers and you have absolutely nothing to prove otherwise.
That the SS Link Watch always had at least a 4-6 week shipping window.
And the SS Link bracelet alone always had a 2-4 week (or greater) shipping window.
I suppose it's possible that someone, somewhere got a link bracelet last Friday, but that was 5/1 and the 2-4 week shipping window was 4/29-5/12, so this would still not be indicative of an earlier, nonexistent shipping window having been offered on the eve of preorders.
Since a good many of us here on MR just got shipping notifications for link bracelet orders (the one I ordered is enroute from China and due here in the U.S. at my door by EOD on Friday), I think it's safe to say most people who ordered a link bracelet early are getting them this week or early next.

I think it will be closer to the 26th than the 12th. I jyst don't think they have produced enough links to go around yet

I did order the BSB 12 hours after the link. Maybe they'll surprise us, but I think they will deliver the 27th. At least mine. And I'm XX:04:17.
Geographical location my be a factor. I suspect that our US cousins will receive theirs before distribution to the UK
The majority of early orders will be in hand by the end of next week. Feeling good about it.

Based on nothing more than watching the ship dates of the extra bracelets, I think we will see our SS SB watches the week of the 18 and some of us will have watches by the 22. But, I hope I'm wrong and they ship next week.

the band does not take 9 hours to make, it takes 9 man hours perhaps but not 9 actual hours to make one band.
