I love the new timelapse clockface, I wish there was an option to put complications on them though, likewise with the photo album watch face.

Has anybody figured out how to revert back to watchOS 1.1 yet?

i read u cant on another thread, its apparently mentioned in the release note

WatchOS 2 beta has bugs... ones that will probably annoy most. consider that before rushing into downloading if you're not a dev and want to actually test it. Not to mention you can not revert back to version 1. Think before rushing into the unknown.

Ex:

Text messages that come in... It displays the contact Name but when the message opens it just shows the phone number. So if you missed that 1sec shot of the contact name, you won't know who the message is from when inside message threads.

Contacts screen not showing contact images or initials anymore, so you now have to spin the crown looking at the name header.

this is just after a half day use, pretty sure a lot more bugs once you start using it throughout the day. Is it worth the hassle and annoying bugs not really. Don't expect to see a bi-weekly update like with iOS betas. The next update will most likely be in July right before the public beta release.

@acctman I did a re-pair and restore from backup (WatchOS 2.0) and that issue went away for me. Contacts/existing message threads only have numbers. Friends circle was corrupt, etc.

One bug I found is that 'Weather' shows up twice under the Glances option screen. Anyone else see this?

Out of curiosity, would you assume this? There is no precedent for watch betas, so I’m not sure anyone but apple knows what to expect. Still, I don’t see why this would be any different than their iOS and OS X betas with two to three week refreshes.

After 6 hours my battery on the Watch is 16%!!!!!!!!
anyone else has battery issues ?

Battery life isn’t looking great for me. My watch has been off the charger for a bit more than two hours and I’m down to 83%. Given that I typically end the day at about 50% it looks like there definitely may be battery issues with this beta. Still, not surprising for a beta, though. There are often extra debugging tools and other inefficiencies that will be fixed in later betas before the release.

Did you manage to get it working again ? I've got the same issue however found that if I go into the haptic section of the settings app the haptic worked sometimes when set to half way but not at full then at full but not halfway think the haptic control's messed up in this beta.
Just a restart works

The only major bug I have come across so far is that when I take my Watch off, the automatic lock is not engaging consistently.

Same here.

so if I was a developer, I could install all the betas on all my machines as well as all my friends ios and osx devices too?

Yes. By 9:30AM I was down to 67%. I usually have around 40% when I'm going to bed at night.

Not locking for me either. I think I'm going to do a 100% fresh/clean install on both phone and watch later tonight.

Yes, you could. You shouldn't be doing this though unless the devices belong to you, and/or they are being used for your developer testing.

Update me on how it goes - this is actually is 'bugging' me, I felt much safer with the lock.

ok, I actually want to develop later this year, But for a perk, I can just install the latest beta to all my apple devices for testing.

5 hours off of the charger and I'm sitting at 71% so not massive drains like others are seeing.

I did a clean install, didn't reload a backup

Fair enough. Go for it; however betas can run completely different for everybody meaning where I have had a good experience with wOS2.0 so far, another user may have a bug-riddled experience. Just keep it in mind and enjoy.

thanks for the info! Understood that betas are not stable versions.

Should I use my apple id to sign up for the developer program or create a new one to separate work from personal?

Had watch on since last night without charging and is now 43% battery, only annoyance is weather isn't syncing with my iPhone as says the watch is in the South Atlantic Ocean

So they are doing a WatchOS public beta? I only saw El Cap and iOS9 mentioned on the Apple beta page...
You need iOS9 for WatchOS to work... so it would make sense to release WatchOS2 beta public with the IOS9 beta. No need to sign up for it directly since iOS9 will cover that. This is just me speaking as an App developer, at that time they'd probably have the WatchOS 2 beta more stable. The few bugs i've seen are very noticeable, but its the norm with Apple beta's. I'm working on a health app so i'm tolerating my contacts, message and mail not working the way it should/use too.

thanks for the tip.

Anyone else have a passbook (er... wallet) card stuck in your notification center on the watch? I have my walgreens reward card in passbook (er... wallet) on the phone and it was configured to show up automatically when I was near my local walgreens. This has been working without an issue, but this morning I happened to drive by that walgreens and now even though I'm several miles away from it I can't get the walgreens card to disappear from the notification center in the watch. Force pressing and selecting clear all notifications makes it go away temporarily, but as soon as you close the notification center and go back in the card appears again. I even went to passbook (er... wallet. I'll never get used to that) on the phone and turned off the option to allow it to automatically appear on the lock screen (doesn't seem like there is a similar setting anywhere on the watch) and it still appears.

I expect a sleep tracking app ;)
