Please let us know if anyone installs IOS26 beta 3 and watchOS 26 beta 3 whether functionality/pairing with Hermes Watches is restored. My watch is still lost via UPS on way to apple support from 2 weeks ago, so dont have it to test currently.

I’m installing it now. The watch app on my iPhone (15 Pro) is behaving normally again, so I hope this is a good sign.

I have a question - can I have 1 watch on the beta and another on the release OS? My phone is on the iOS 26 beta 3. Thanks

I suppose there shouldn’t be anything against it. In the watch app, you can select each watch separately, but this is just an assumption. I recently gifted my second watch away.

same for me, been trying to update for 2.30 hrs , guess lots of Hermes users out there , just glad a fx is now available

I believe you can still run one watch on release OS and still have it pair and function with the beta IOS 26 on your phone.

THe other way (watch on watchOS 26 with releaase IOS 18) is not possible as far as i'm aware.

I’m in the same boat. Do you also receive a message saying the update is paused just before it gets stuck?

release note for beta Three mentions that fix for hermes watch is in this update
Problem is, how does one install the update? Watch is getting stuck on prepared for the past three hours. Tried through the watch and the phone, nothing.

first get it checked out and sorted at the Apple Store or have it mailed in for downgrade or Express Replacement.

Then install the 3rd beta build ONLY if you are comfortable with it or was on watchOS 26 beta 1, Otherwise, hang on!

Seems like many of y'all have seen hope. Apple has done appropriate fixes : https://developer.apple.com/documentation/watchos-release-notes/watchos-26-release-notes Anyone had seen it resolve?

I've tried multiple times today and it still won't take the update on my Hermes watch. Guess I will wait until Beta 4 and if it still is broken I will just AppleCare it.

Never mind, just looked down at my phone. It looked like this time when it failed it re-downloaded the update and just installed in less than 15 minutes from Beta 2. Looks like I am good to go.

Edit: I updated using the Apple Watch app on the iPhone. Just to clarify that from previous posts.

Mine did that now stuck on preparing.

Only took it like 6 hours to prepare. Very odd but watch os is now updated on my ultra 2 Hermes.
I'll take it! Tried I don't know how many times today. It has frequently "paused" until it is "reconnected to a Wi-Fi network." The update failed with, "An error occurred downloading the latest version of watchoS on your Apple Watch" three times. Just now it finally got to "Preparing…" And the watch (S9) seems happy to stay on low-power mode.

(Side rant to no one in particular. When I specifically tell the watch I want low-power mode for three days, one of the options someone has specifically coded into the UI, why Apple would you assume I actually meant, "until the next time you remove it from the charger and then put it back on it"? #askingforafriend)

Anyone else receiving texts on their Apple Watch and having the issue of not being able to tap "DISMISS" and have the message go away? This was also an issue in Beta 2 for me. I reported it via Feedback in Beta 2, also reported again today. I have an Apple Watch Ultra, if that matters. Thanks!
