Hi, I'm on the latest release candidate of watchOS 26 and I notice that when I activate the flashlight, the screen goes black! I have to do a hard reset!

Rly? Does your Apple Watch unexpectedly turn off?

What battery health is it?

I installed it on all of my devices.
Nice 👌🏻 it’s your first time doing betas or RC right?

The first night it burned through the battery, faster than usual.

The second night it was back to normal 👍🏼.
24-48 hours after a beta, RC or public release is key to letting the battery settle down before making a conclusion about its battery life

Updates take demand of its battery and the system within your Apple Watch, and any other device you use!

Just the screen!
Not a restart?

I understand. Was any of this happening when you turned on the flashlight on your Apple Watch:
Covering the screen with clothing, your hand or anything?
Using an app that actively switches back after you lower your wrist or cover your watch, like Workout?
Brightness level?

So I have 92% battery health on my series 9, 94% on my ultra 2, and 100% on my series 10. My battery life on every beta has been atrocious including even the RC. What are the chances that we get battery improvement tomorrow? It's been terrible. I think even the watches at 92% and 94% battery life shouldn't be this bad on a normal software right? I really hope this is fixed.

I didn't do anything special! No screen protector! Just turned on the flashlight!

RC doing well on my Ultra 2. Battery is same like on previous version.
Only thing that is weird is side button opening - very laggy.
using Apple Pay is very slow. It takes a while to pop up the card after the double press of the side button. It stalls on a blank control centre for a second or more. I have the OG Ultra and it's generally very sluggish even ending a workout lags compared to 18.

Yes, I mean control center by this side button. Also bring apple pay time to time causes to bring control center instead.
But other parts of system is fluid as before.

Voice 1 is Sam Sanchez
Voice 2 is Jamie-Ray (only UK based trainer on there)
Voice 3 was added in a later beta; UPDATE: it’s Sherica

You can switch the voices out by pressing the dialogue bubble icon on the workout app menu on a supported workout type (walking, running, weightlifting) on the bottom right corner on your Apple Watch, and tap on a voice on the list

Thanks for this - changed mine to Jamie-Ray this morning when I went out walking again in the lovely strong winds we've got in the UK today.

Let's just say he "sounded" much more enthusiastic about my efforts than I 😂.
