Basically you want it not to go into hibernation. Setting standbydelay to 24hrs and you will have waking issue after 24hrs anyway, why not turn off hibernation in the first place? (just make sure battery doesn't go flat)

But are you sure you don't want it to go into hibernation? Let's say you have to leave your MB untouched for a whole weekend. If you tell it to NOT hibernate at all it will lose everything it had in memory and you have to start from scratch with all your opened apps, tabs, etc. Under my scenario if you leave it untouched for a day it will at least hibernate and save all that stuff. Within a day it will wake up fast, like before.

Since it will fail to wake up from hibernation, are you sure it will retain all unsaved work? In my case, I think it just do a full bootup and reopen previous apps (like you click restart and tick the box that says reopen windows)

I am also experiencing the wake from sleep problems with High Sierra on my 2016 MacBook Pro. If I open the lid with AC power applied, it wakes immediately. If I unplug the AC adapter before opening the lid, it takes 20 seconds to wake up.

Is it also very slow when it boots? Like the dock animations laggy?

For me the issue is finally fixed in 10.13.1 beta 4, anyone ?

Before beta 4 I changed hibernatemode from 3 to 0, without success. Right before upgrading to beta 4 I set hibernatemode back to 3 (the default value) and after 3 days I confirm I don't have the issue anymore

Installed beta 4 today. Will try to see if wake works as intended in a few hours. Hope mines fixed too.

Count me in too. Installed beta 4 and the wake up issue on my iMac late 2015 still persists. Put the Mac to sleep and after about 30 seconds it goes on hibernate state and I have to press the power button to wake it up. Very annoying.

Same here mate.....its so frustrating

Yes, problem still persists after beta 5 install.

Did you try going into Terminal and changing the Standby settings as outlined in earlier posts in this thread? I'd be interested to know if the issue persists if you set Standby to 0.

Im experiencing some issues with sleep wake issues.. Sometimes when I close the lid in my 2016 rmbp it logs out and i have to enter my full log in details, other times its just touch id. Any thoughts.??

Yes, change the Standby settings in Terminal and it will be fixed.

Unfortunately the issue still persists after installing Beta 5 and modify the parameters to the following: hibernatemode=0, powernap=0, autopoweroff=0, standby=0.

It still happens, at least for me, with the 10.13.1 beta 3. After eight hours since the installation of the latest beta, my tbMBP 2016 didn't wake up after only two hours of sleep mode.
After write this message I turned off both "Wake for Wi-Fi Network Access" in Energy Saver and Time Machine's "Back Up Automatically" in System Preferences. Since then, 10 days so far, my tbMBP 15 2016 has wake up from sleep mode ever time without any problem using macOS 10.13.1 beta 3, 4 and 5.

This is happening, or the machine doesn't hibernate and it uses up battery so the machine is almost dead when I wake it up.

Or when I wake it up it doesnt recognise mouse inputs and I have to power it down using the power button.

Mega frustrating!!!

I did contact Apple support regarding this issue and they were a little perplexed, hence why I asked on the forum. I also asked if it would be an issue that Apple would be addressing and they sent me a give feedback link.. Not as helpful as hoped.

Beta 5 has fixed the issue for me, though the battery seems to drain a little bit more when asleep. Left my laptop over the weekend and went from 100% to 75%. It was nice to open the lid and work straight away though.
