Oh my God that looks epic! No Ed Harris in this trailer, but he is in this season so will be interesting to see how he plays out.

Ed is there, you just missed him ;)

Westworld is a great example of a reboot that is far superior to the original. Battlestar Galactica is another. Looking forward to this. :)

Spoilers
I never got to watch Season 2, have been waiting until this is coming to get them at around the same time.

B
Season 2 is such a departure from season one. It goes from business as usual to revolution as we learn more and more about the devious Dr. Ford’s agenda. I imagine season 3 something like when Ava of Ex Machina steps on the helo except these androids know much more of the world.

I kinda stayed aware of the broad strokes, but life was preventing me from watching at the time it was originally on. When the S3 trailer dropped I decided to delay until the premiere date was announced.

This video impressively breaks down the last 2 rather cryptic trailers and helps make sense of what season 3 will probably revolve around.

I'm getting strong Person of Interest vibes.. Samaritan anyone?

It will be interesting to see how Dolores and the other Hosts play into this theory. My question is who is in charge? Is this a wise human or a non-human who wants to save humanity, protect us from ourselves putting us in cages, or do away with us?

The rebellious Hosts did not seem to be organized, two leaders seemed to emerge and organize them. The data collection reference in this video seems to be something else so it will be interesting to see how this ties together.

Is this supposed to be the last season?

Good questions, which the show will probably have convoluted answers to. :p

No idea how they will play into it but
Aaron Paul and Vincent Cassel
are new to the cast this season (I think that's the latter's voice in that date announcement video).

I remember reading that the showrunners had the show mapped out through season 5.

New poster for season 3.

I would not call that a spoiler. :)
I see the series as 3 parts-
  • S1- The Premise, business as usual.
  • S2- The Revolution
  • S3- The Aftermath, The Final Act, which might morph into something else. No clue if this could go for more than 1 season, it might?

Haha, I put a spoiler tag because it was a rather large image. But you're right, it doesn't need it. :p

So it seems the show is mapped out through 5 seasons, and while not officially confirmed, season 4 is already in the works.
Edit: looks like HBO did in fact renew the show for a 4th season last year. Link below.

Thanks for reminding me. I think I remember that being mentioned before in this thread. By you? :) It will be interesting to see if they can keep this going for 3 more seasons.

Kind of silent on the Westworld front. No I don’t want spoilers but it’s difficult to assume if silence means good, bad, terrible, or awesome regarding Season 3. I admit that in the framework of the story, action on the ranch and in the Wild West most appealed to me. I will be subscribing soon. 😃 o_O

I’m loving the new season so far. 😁

As you know from the trailers, it’s a very different setting from the Wild West of previous seasons, but I find it interesting to finally see the world in which a theme park like that would even exist.

With only eight episodes this season, the storytelling is tighter and more straightforward, and the pace is faster. The production values remain high.

With Devs airing simulataneously, it's a good time for those who wish to explore the concept of determinism though their entertainment.

Indifference. :)

I think Westworld never truly found it's footing - not even in season one - just that the cast and production values carried it for a while. I'll be very surprised if they make it to season 4.
