That would explain my skinniness too, one large burrito from the taqueria on the way home from work and I'm stuffed for the day!

yeah one "meal" a day. i do snack a bit earlier in the day. but not much. generally i only eat when i get hungry. there have been days where i'm not hungry at all, and i don't eat, except maybe a small snack if that. its not that i'm starving myself, its that i only eat when i find it neccissary.

That's alright, both of you will eventually grow older and your metabolism won't be quite as forgiving. ;)

But for now, I'm jealous. Although, at 6' 1" and 178lbs, I guess I'm not too bad. But I have to work out and run to stay that way. If I sat around, well, I don't want to think about that...

It was a $1.90 school lunch for me...

Tuna salad sandwich
Baked smiley potatoes
Carrot sticks
1/2 of my friend's orange
Skim milk

(My school has embarked on a 'healthy eating campaign'... no fatty or sugary desserts, low fat entrees and sides, no whole milk, limited consumption of 'simple carbs', every day's menu can have only one serving of lean meat or 'high fat' foods, plenty of fresh vegetables, no fried food, no cola, no candy, no or very little chocolate, no refined bread, etc.)

There are very few fat kids at our school. :)

I had a chicken patty with tomato soup. For drink I had chocolate milk. Yay school lunches:rolleyes: .

A Haines meat and potato pie with a chocolate eclair :)

absolutely nobody here would have heard of Haines. After my journeys around the world I've yet to find a better meat and potato pie. they're just perfect. from a little bakery in Waterhead.

definitely my most unhealthiest of dinners for a long time. I usually get a Boots meal deal. beautiful food. Sweetcure Bacon and egg mayonnaise brown-bread sandwich, caramel shortcake and either an Innocent smoothie or a Feel Good Drink (by Feel Good Inc :D ;) )

A little dish of strawberries , pineapple, green grapes, and cantoloupe mixed. Also 2 clementines. With a bottle of water.

I had a homemade wrap with chicken, lettuce, cheese, grated carrot, snow peas and my homemade satay sauce.
That sounds so good right now. Damn I'm hungry!

A can of oven dried tuna flavoured tuna in a wholemeal seed roll and 2 oranges an apple and a nectarine:)

I had a ciabatta roll with chargrilled chicken and vegetables: Courgettes (zucchini), Mushrooms, orange bell pepper, and tomato.
with melted mozzerella.

Mmmmmmmm!

am i the only one here who's school lunch isn't that bad?
a chicken sandwich covered in jalapenos, baked beans, pineapple, and a rice krispy treat, with chocloate milk. was pretty good like school lunch usually is at my high school :)

except for enchilada day when it's REALLY good.

I'm so freaking jealous of you right now you would not believe.

Our school lunch is HORRIBLE and we occasionally find hairs in the food. Sometimes the staff wears gloves (probably on inspection days..).

In fact, our school sucks in almost every way except some awesome teachers (two of whom must be millionaires).

can you elaborate? i have no idea what the hell that is.
Perri-perri is a spice mixture, which Nandos uses to season most of their food. It's supposed to be Portuguese, but I always thought it originated in Africa. It's quite hot (as in spicy), but they sprinkle it on the chips and marinate the chicken in it.

Today for lunch (the chicken wrap was yesterday, just in case you all think I'm having 2 lunches) I'm having perogi/varanyky which my grandma made last night. They're dumplings (kinda like giant ravioli) filled with mashed potato or cottage cheese, usually served with fried onions and sour cream mmmmmmmmm. They're so plain and simple, but they'd have to be one of my favourite foods of all time.

Do I detect a hint of sarcasm? :p
Nope. Serious. It's way harder to get healthy later if you develop poor eating habits in youth.

It's encouraging to see a reasonably price school lunch program with a decently balanced menu (even if the potatoes are mostly simple carbs, at least they're not fried).

While I'm posting: Supper is spinach salad with feta cheese, sunflower seeds, olive oil and pink salmon.
