I have installed beta 1, went back to iOS 6 (too much bugs) , then installed beta 2, then you guessed it went back to iOS 6.

And then!.... I've installed beta 4.

I love it. Only thing I can't stand is the fact that I cannot control my music without actually going to the music app or locking the phone and using lock screen controls.

They need to bring back some sort of music control in the multitasking feature full stop

Control centre?

One thing that I am finding to be a step backwards is the extra taps in safari. In order to go back to the top of a web page you have to tap the top twice when it used to be once. The first tap now brings up the unified search field. The second tap scrolls up. Also, in order to see all open pages or switch to a new bookmark you have to tap the bottom or scroll back up a little to bring up the controls. Then you can tap for bookmarks and open pages. Full screen safari is nice but not at the expense of ease of use and a more efficient workflow. Once the iPhone 5 came along with its longer screen I really didn't have a problem with the viewing area in safari. As an aside, the swipe gestures from the edges of the screen to go back and forward are fantastic. Love that addition. Maybe full screen safari can be an option. Doubt it though.

I'm using one of my Android phones right now because I simply can't stand having to wait for animations to finish when transitioning from one thing to another. Unlock the phone...wait...open a folder...wait...tap the app...wait...finally get to business.

Wouldn't be bad if the animations were quicker but as it stands, while I know it's less than a second of waiting, it feels like it slows everything down...not to mention I've lost count of how many times I tapped the screen just barely too early and had to tap it again.

The icons. I still find them disgustingly putrid, even after trying to like them for a month of use.
The animation effects. They are slow, and make the phone lag when changing apps. In general, slowness is present, even on a newish phone like the iPhone 4S.
The safari app - too much white, especially in landscape.
The control center - the light transparency on the bright garish iOS 7 home screen icons make the phone look like an 80s fisher paykel toy.

To start I was like most and didn't like the icons but now they have grown on me. I'm enjoying iOS 7. Looking forward to the release. #

In what might be the most original post regarding dislikes in iOS 7: The icons

To be fair most are actually quite nice but they could be improved. Particularly the Safari and Settings icon's. The rest simply need to be more consistent with each other

The ugly frosted looking dock. Looks like the same dock from iOS 3 before they replaced it with the OS X dock.

And the ugly signal bars. Don't like to whole circle bar thing. Preferred the old bar signal.

The safari app - too much white, especially in landscape

What do you mean? Safari's just an empty container, especially in landscape. If there's too much white, wouldn't that be the fault of the websites you're visiting?

Photos app is clunky

Animations still take too long and you can't speed them up by tapping ahead

Transparency is still buggy in some apps, safari, the dock

Alarms (via clock app) messy if set too close together

Parallax is good but there needs to be more if it

Multitasking takes longer to close multiple apps

/2 cents.

This will be fixed :)

Pretty sure the animations will be faster by the GM, they speed up with every beta release.

Don't like:
- The iPad music app just feels like a blown up iPhone app (e.g.: no album grid view for iPad, Now Playing screen)
- AirDrop doesn't seem to work with OS X? (I'm running 10.9)
- Parallax as default on: No one that's used my phone (when I used to have it on) noticed it, and when I told them they weren't impressed. Its also a HUGE battery waster - battery can be up to 2x as long with Reduce Motion on.
- Camera grabber is too small to be easily grabbable.
- Folders should have an extra row at the bottom.
- No iTunes Radio in the UK at launch.
- Some icons (not all)

Probably more that I haven't thought of, but apart from that list I really like iOS 7.

Dock(too blury)
Safari and setting icons
Too much white on OS(need an option for a black theme)
9 icons per page
Animations
And i think black transparent keyboard(like spotlight) is the best

Shiny volume and skip buttons are gone. =(
I could rotate iPhone around and see how they change reflection, now I can't.
It was best skeuomorphic feature.

No. I am referring to the top and bottom menu bars. They are not aesthetically pleasing, I have tried to let it grow on me, but it won't :(

Didn't know that feature existed until you said it.

I'm never switching to iOS 7 now. :D

On a serious note, what do I not like about iOS 7...

  • They took away consistency between iOS and OS X.
  • Animations take too long. Doesn't seem like much but when your bored of all the eye candy and just want to use your phone, it will drive you insane.
  • Most icons are bad but some of them are really bad, i.e. Contacts, Notes, Reminders, Newsstand and Safari.
  • Multitasking doesn't feel as simple or efficient as it was on iOS 6.
  • The photos app looks cluttered.
  • Too much white.

Music controls on the lock screen are terrible especially when driving. Half of the time when I'm trying to skip to the next song without looking at the screen. All it does is start to unlock the screen and doesn't register a "button press" because the lock screen moved ever so slightly.

So you have to swipe up and use control center but the music controls on control center are so small that it is just cumbersome to use. They need to lock the top half of the lock screen from moving while music is playing.

Other thing I dislike is in messages it creates hyperlinks for preemptive calendar events by using keywords such as time, today, tomorrow etc. While this sounds convenient it makes txting looks horrible. If I want to make a calendar event I'll use Siri or the calendar app. Just my opinion

Other than those two things I like iOS 7.

I think the animations need to go away. It has the feel of "we did this just because we could," which then makes it seem gimicky. There is no functional reason for it. And for those of us so used to other iOS versions this makes the experience feel slower. I don't care so much about icon design. I don't care so much about colors. But I think the animations need to be sped up to be almost instantaneous..which begs the question: why do it at all?

Oh, I see. I guess those bars don't bother me. I must say, though, I don't like the new "share" icon. It looks like an elevator car held up by a cable. I'd have liked it much better if they'd just made an outline version of the current icon.

Actually, the animations are one of the things I like best about iOS 7. I like the feel of zooming in and out of things. My only complaint is that you can't tap anything until the animation is complete, and maybe even for a beat after that. I can't tell you how many times I've tapped two or three times before I got a response. If they just fix that, I'll be happy.

At first I liked it. But I know exactly what you mean about tapping a few times before the phone responds. To me it's like intentional lag.

Someone told me that the APIs exist to allow tapping before the animation completes, and that the current lag is likely the result of various logging code that's build into the betas. Supposedly, this lag won't exist in the GM. I hope that's true. As I say, if they fix this, I'll be happy.
