Cheaper iCloud service - affordable half and full terabyte clouds for all devices etc

A new MacPro "Truck" for professionals much like the cheese grater allowing updating etc

New Airports/AppleTVs - cheaper with mesh networking and both optical/analogue out

I would love to see Mac Mini morph into a larger appliance for under the TV - all home media Mac PC - 64GB SSD / 4-5TB HDD option - still a real Mac OSX but with AppleTV functionality as well. Still link my iPhone etc up to it for updating etc

A high quality dedicated music player with expansive storage that doesn't run iOS, but that ship has sailed.

I'm buying a new iMac this year, so I'd like to see some good graphics updates for that line.

A laptop with a nice collection of contemporary ports, MagSafe.
Current generation CPU.
Industry standard M.2 PCIe and SATA ports, industry standard ram sockets. A battery that is a nice self-contained plastic brick not glued into place.
Decent keyboard and screen.

You know, a basic cheap laptop every other PC vendor in the world sells plus OSX and MagSafe. And Apple tax not a huge issue if they grant all the other features.

I'd like to see a price cut on the new MacBook Pros as well as some great new features with in iOS. My biggest qualms with iPhone at the moment is iOS.

The ability to change default apps and a Siri that works would be a good start.

Haptics for on-screen keyboards. Then no more nonsense with add-on Bluetooth keyboards!

Thorough QA testing for hardware and software before release.

No more hide-and-seek interface design. Easter Eggs are supposed to be a reward for exploring, not an integral part of the user experience.

Updated desktop Macs.
You know I still find the haptics on my iPhone 7plus home button amazing! The "real" home button on my SE feels clunky in comparison. Simply amazing.
Having said that, and knowing the new track pads on MacBooks have similar technology, it would be nice to get virtual trackpads for iPads and iPhones. I mean especially for text input and editing. That's the only time I miss a keyboard, is with precision positioning of cursor and the likes. Deep pressing on the keyboard on the new iPhones is pretty cool, and that's a start. When I switch to the SE that's where i really feel the need and appreciate deep press or whatever it's called.

I personally want Apple to be Apple again. I would explain what I mean, but I am way to lazy to type that much right now. And for you trolls out there, I don't mean we need to go back to the Steve Jobs days. I am just simply saying Apple shouldn't focus on profit like they have been and focus on there customers.

We've covered what we expect to see from Apple in 2017 based on the rumors that are circulating so far in our recent What to Expect post.

On the horizon are a new iPhone 8 with a radically redesigned body and an edge-to-edge display, a revamped iPad Pro also potentially with an edge-to-edge display, long-awaited iMac updates, and new software, but there's always the chance there's a wildcard update or new product in the works that will surprise us all.

A redesigned Apple TV, a new home hub, and augmented reality smart glasses are all products that are rumored to be in the works with no prospective release date. We want to hear from the MacRumors community -- what are you expecting or hoping to see Apple release in 2017?

Are there specific features you're hoping Apple will implement in iOS 11, tvOS 11, watchOS 4, or macOS 10.13? Popular wishlist items from last year included a dark mode for iOS, home screen widgets, and a customizable control center.

Let us know what you want to see in the comments, and make sure to check our our What to Expect post for the latest rumors. Apple's plans for 2017 will likely become more clear in the early months of the year, and as always, we'll be covering all of the rumors in-depth here at MacRumors.

The MacRumors forums are also always a rich resource for talking about upcoming products and rumors, and with the biggest iPhone change in years set to happen in 2017, our forums are the place to be for lively discussions.

We'd also like to thank all of our readers and our forum members for making MacRumors the absolute best source for Mac news and advice on the web. We wouldn't be here without you, and we look forward to another rumor-packed year.

I am expecting new iPads . IPad Pro 2

Now the AirPod's are out, how about the same connectivity to the AppleTV as other iCloud devices, and have the AppleTV control things in the same manner as Amazon Echo or Google Assistant? The nice thing about using AirPod's would be you only need one and can communicate from other rooms.

I also like the dark theme on iOS.

Apple TV 4K
AirPort AC5300 (802.11ac) or AD7200 (802.11ad) Devices

It would be great if the AirPort Extreme could do link aggregation (LACP) but that is probably a pipe dream.

In no order:
  • VR and machines capable of running it
  • Premium features in smaller form factors: A SE iPhone with Dual Cameras, good touch ID, 3d Touch. 13" Macbooks with better gpus
  • Faster MBPs obviously
  • Keep improving Portrait Mode on iPhone 7 plus
  • Free storage
  • Photos Face Synchronization - Seriously, how is this not happening
  • Increased dividends
  • Continued stance on security and encryption

If USB-C is the future, don't stop halfway.

Replace Lightning connectors with USB-C on all devices in 2017.

I think they didn't update iOS devices to USB-C because they're eliminating all ports, buttons, holes, and seams from the iPhone 8. The iPhone 7 is a mutant half-step to the product Jony really wants to ship as his final Apple product.

I want a solid third generation "12 MacBook that blows away the 2016 MBP in battery life.

I don't think Mac people care about design since MacBooks have essentially looked the same for nearly a decade now. They aren't fashion accessories like how smartphones have become. We just want great updates on hardware. But it is the market that Apple often neglects these days.
