I do kind of find it ironic that their presentations now feel pretty artificial and cheap with that overprocessed HDR-look.
I have a young child who frequently does something that makes me want to get a video fast, and the moment is often lost by the time I’ve picked up my phone, done Face ID, clicked the camera icon, swiped across to Video, and hit the record button.
Is it edible? I heard fibers are healthy. The iPhone 16 packaging is now entirely fiber-based.
They said it's exclusive to the 16, tied to the capture button.Do we know yet if Visual Intelligence is coming to the 15PM as well?
But just by 1/16th. No wonder the upgrades are getting ever more incremental.16 > 15.
I never get these kinds of post. Action button, camera button, AI… ‘I hope I can disable that nonsense’. Tell me: why would you buy such a phone if you don’t like the new features???Not to mention a camera control button that seems in the way. Hopefully you can disable it.
Ok just seen the keynote
Very underwhelming. I have the 15pm and I need to upgrade to 512gb
But I can’t see what’s changed??
Same screen, minor size increase
Slightly faster processor
Camera control
4k120 video
And that’s pretty much it??
Even the Apple Watches and AirPods barely improved either ……I know people say this every time but I really can’t see all those “innovations” they talk about

You are correct. However, this idea is usually considered blasphemy by many Apple consumers. Many will immediately feel inadequate without the newest product.
There's an app for that, "google lens".Do we know yet if Visual Intelligence is coming to the 15PM as well?
It sounds like the person is projecting. I’ve also never met Apple fans who have to upgrade yearly or look down on those who do not.A few. I've never met anyone like that, personally, and most I know are apple users.
While I’m fairly happy with my 15PM my battery capacity is currently at 88% after a year. I’m on the Apple annual upgrade plan so if I upgrade to the 16PM with the same memory my monthly payments are unchanged. That being the case I’m wondering why not upgrade?
I disagree. The iPad Pro 2024 13 was a huge upgrade, especially since I got the nano screen too. Love the new Face ID location, brighter screen, new Magic Keyboard. Solid upgrade over my 3 year old iPad Pro 12.9.I'd be careful before upgrading. I saw the presentation for the iPad Pro 2024 on May 7, and, since I had the 2018 12.9" iPP, thought it would be worth upgrading to the 13". The presentation made it look as if the 2024 version was a huge improvement over the 6-year-old Pro. It wasn't. I still have a 2018 iPad Pro 11 and the older 2018 Pro 12.9" Pro. The only thing I notice about the newer iPP is that it's lighter. Otherwise, for me at least, using it feels exactly he same as the older machine. The presentation for the new iPhone was very slick (not surprisingly). But it's easy to be taken in and spend money you don't need to on features you may never use. Do you really need to take a picture of a restaurant sign and then see the menu? All you have to do is google it. I suppose if you were a professional photographer it would be useful, but for me my iPhone 13 pro max is more than adequate. If, next year, they come out with a much lighter iPhone with a large enough screen, I will be tempted.
Depends how comfortable you are with the first phone with a new Apple 5G modem. The soon-to-be-announced SE will be super compelling
Did they verify it will run cooler? That would be nice coming from the 15 PM. It seems to go dim too easily, when getting hot.I’m likely going to upgrade from 15PM to 16PM for the 15% better battery life (up to 4 hours more) and having it run cooler. Everything else is just extra. The decision is certainly influenced from the fact that trade in values are best within the 1st year/next iteration.
wondering the same thing myselfWhat the 16 Pro can do with photographic styles… is that exclusive to the A18Pro and the 16? Or is that an iOS 18 option?
Same here.I have a 14 Pro and was hoping the 16PM would have a better main camera sensor but it's the same. To get 48MP ultra wide, I can buy a wide angle lens for the very few times when 12MP UW isn't enough. Or I can shoot a bunch of 48MP ProRaw and stitch them together. The screen sizes are just a few mm larger, CPU speed up a tiny bit in real world use.
I can wait a year...
