What is the most attractive iPhone model ever made?

4/4S by far. The best looking iPhones. IMO also the best made in terms of quality. My 4 and 4S that I gave to my nephews are still running strong today. 3G/3GS sucked in terms of quality. My least liked iPhones. 5/5S were very good though too just not 4/4S good.

What was the reason for slate being discontinued? It seems to be very popular.

I think it was that whole "scuff gate" issue.

I will take the iPhone 6 and 6+ for comfort, but I really like the look of the iPhone 5 and 5S. The glass and aluminum is an amazing combo.
