I actually debated between these two for two weeks.

I picked the iPhone5 because of the familiarity I had with the iPhone itself. I had an iPhone4 for two years, and aside from the carrier(AT&T, which I didn't like), I had no real issues with it aside from the speed (internet, etc.). It saves money on purchasing a music player if you want the physical files on your phone instead of using spotify, and since I have a Macbook Pro, it was just a bit easier to do things with the iPhone connected to it.

The main factor I'd say, were the reviews I read on voice controls (Siri, etc..) as they were rated far higher on the iphone5. The GalaxyS3 seems to have some issues in that regard. I also think the appstore is better than the Android market in my limited amount of research.

I probably would have went with the S3 to change things up had the voice commands been equal.

Google Now IMO this is going to sweep Siri...

I think Siri is a half developed app....

On topic...the build quality of the iPhone 5. The GS3 did horrible in drop tests and appears pricey to repair.

Simple , I don't know what a s3 is because since 2007 I only have iPhone vision can't see or acknowledge any other phone

Just curious, do you really have a lot of apps that tie you guys down? I used to think that but then realized I only use about 3-4 paid ones.

I've invested in like at least $300 in apps and songs (mostly apps though). I used to have a stack of iTunes giftcards here in my drawer.

But most apps usually gets deleted because it's either; 1) wasn't worth it in the first place 2) finished the game 3) takes up space, don't play it anymore.

I'm not bashing on androids though, I equally love both operating systems. I actually wanted to buy the little android mascot at this japanese store but it was like $30 for a three inch tall figure.

Android sucks!

It doesn't suck. It's not to your taste and it's really ridiculous to say otherwise. That said...

simply because iOS works.. no glitches.. no unnecessary features.. phone doesnt slow down over time

This is why I will not purchase another Android unless I really need to. It's too much like Windows. Others are able to ignore those problems listed for how "open" the system is, but I'm not. Also, I don't like Samsung phones, so I wouldn't get the SIII. I'd get a Fujitsu or Sony model.

iMessage with my family members/friends. No need to waste money on text messaging plans or depend on other not-so-reliable text messaging programs.

IPhone is an awesome phone that runs an OS I use.
S3 is an awesome phone that runs an OS I don't use.

ios doesnt crash like the android os or w.e and i love the look and feel of iphones. not to mention itunes some people hate it. i personally think its much more convenient then dragging and dropping unorganized music library.

Everything mentioned before PLUS resale value. If this keeps up, I'll never pay for an iPhone ever again...

Everything about the iphone 5 is better than the s3.

It has outperformed the s3 basically on every level. Better display, faster, better apps, better quality, better OS. Reviews rave that the iphone is better.

The best part is that samsung pumps in a faster processor AND IT STILL gets outperformed by apple's optimized cortex processor.

It doesn't take a genius, Rolex (iPhone 5) over those Timexes (Droids).

It's my opinion, I'm free to voice it, just like everyone else. Get over it!
