Nice to know I'm not the only one with OCD about computing preferences...
I'm very picky about putting my Dock items into groups - Internet apps to the left, then regular Apps (Photoshop, Word, Toast, etc), then media apps (VLC, media players, MP3 players), next up are the music apps (Garageband, Logic Express, Line6 Gearbox), then software like Visualhub, Handbrake....and at the end comes financial software and games.
I keep the desktop clean most of the time (unfortunately I'm not totally OCD about that), but I would love to be able to remove one or two hard drives off my desktop, but leave the others...is there any way to do this?
I hate having to reboot and losing a great uptime - the only time I'll reboot is in the event of a kernel panic or if there's a major update that I feel will be useful.
My IM (Adium) can't be touching the edge of the screen or the top taskbar - I keep it just slightly off the edges.
On the other hand, I want Firefox to touch the top of the screen, if it's not, it drives me nuts. Also with Firefox, I don't open more than one window because I usually have at least 7-10 tabs open at any one time.
I actually don't care if my trash is always empty, but when I go to my gmail account, I *HAVE* to empty out my spam folder - if I see even 1 message in there, I go delete it immediately.
I hate having preview or Smultron open after I've used them...gotta be closed after I'm done.
I really want a Les Paul as my Garageband icon, but haven't been able to find a nice one - anyone have one?
