Time for another Orson Welles film recorded overnight from TCM.

A Man For All Seasons (1966).
The story of Thomas More, who stood up to King Henry VIII when the King rejected the Roman Catholic Church to obtain a divorce and remarriage

Training Day (2001)- My Denzel Washington Marathon continues. Police corruption movie, some holy-crap training going on... Reccomended! Apparently the Denzel Washington character was based on a real person.

I watched The Other One: The Long Strange Trip of Bob Weir on Netflix last night. If you're a fan of The Grateful Dead, I recommend it highly.

I watched that last night to as it popped up on my recommendations. I'm not a fan of the dead or any music from that era but Weir seems like a pretty cool guy. I'm glad I watched it.

So much Fu I cannot keep track...

Life Gamble is now my all time favorite western (and not even made in the West.) Never thought a Hong Kong period film would kick Eastwood, Redford and Corbucci out of the saloon... but there you go.

Flag of Iron okay. Not terrible, but not great either.

Human Lanterns again. Everyone in this movie is just an awful person. I like when horror films make a point to punish those who really do wrong in the world. All the characters deserve what's coming to them, well, except the inept assassin and the old drunk lantern maker.

Top Gun

Not a new movie, or even one I've never seen before, but it's been awhile and I just felt the need.

The Postman Fights Back despite the presence of the actor who got me hooked on classic martial arts films and a youthful Chow Young Fat, I just could not get into this.

Speaking of Chow, I finally caved in and ordered a used copy of Hard Boiled.

I absolutely love that movie!

OT story: One of my wife's prized possessions is an autograph of Chow Yun Fat she got at a film festival. She didn't have any paper for him to sign, so she had him sign a blank check.

I wonder how this compares to another spy movie, Eye of the Needle starring Donald Sutherland? :)
Not sure. I've not seen that before and today was the first time I saw this one.

I also missed the first 30 minutes of it too.

Chappie - Verdict: Not bad. Different than what I expected. Pretty funny.

San Andreas
- Verdict: I thought the story was gonna suck but it was very entertaining. I just went to see the destruction but the whole movie was good.

I'll stream both of these when I can. From what I've seen in trailers, San Andreas looks a bit over the top. :)
