Everybody gives a horrible performance in 1-3. They looked bored and embarrassed to be uttering that horrific dialogue.

There are a couple of so so performances in The Force Awakens too. But by comparison to Phantom Menace they are easy to gloss over.

I do wonder if you removed 'hype' factor and the Star Wars name from the equation what in time will people think of it. I saw it last week at a screening and it's an enjoyable action movie, but feels much like any other special effects blockbuster - only that you add (or should that be force) a layer of 'nostalgia' onto it to give it a layer of depth it otherwise doesn't really have.

I wonder what fresh eyes, someone who has NEVER seen a star wars film would make of it. I imagine reviews would certainly be nowhere near as glowing.

Blade Runner: Final Cut.

I didn't like the Deckard dream sequence as much in this one.

This film is finally showing its age. :)

Watched the Force Unleashed last night (or was it this morning).
If you like Star Wars then it certainly has the right feel.
A few surprises in store for anybody who's not been reading spoilers.
It does feel like there's a lot of story between the films that needs fleshing out and explaining.

Cool, the family and I will be seeing it tonight. I've heard of midnight screenings the night before a movie opens and such, but it sure seems like a lot of people are getting to see this movie early. Our showtime tonight is 8:30 PM.

Enjoy. I'll be seeing it again in the next week or two!

A Most Violent Year (2014)- Crime drama, a man defends his heating oil company in NYC from predators. Not that violent, slow, to realistic and boring, consequently drags, not a story worthy of a movie.
