Point Break (2015.). Excellent movie, even compared to the 1991. original version.

Just came back from seeing Batman v Superman. Very mixed feelings. On the one hand, Ben Affleck was great as Bruce Wayne and Batman, and the action sequences were great too. On the other hand, the movie seems too bloated and I felt too much screen time was devoted to setting up the Justice League.

Overall, it wasn't as bad as many critics are suggesting, but it wasn't exactly amazing either.

Just came from seeing batman vs superman , have to agree with a lot of the comments above .

Wasn't the best thing I've seen but also wasn't the worst , still think DC have a huge challenge on there hands to live upto Marvels hype .

DC had all the successful movies until
Iron Man, but Marvel has given us a complete universe of interconnected films that hold together, but still somehow play better separately than BvS DoJ.

The two things that annoyed me most about the movie seemed to be a dependence on things that happened off screen. (Man of Steel?) and the fact that it was about 45 minutes too long.

They could not even tie in some of their current TV properties by casting the TV Flash as Flash for this movie.

The worst was Batman being swayed just by he and Clark having mothers with the same first name ... And then leaving the ultimate weapon just lying around.

All in all. Meh.

Dragons Forever (1988) I am one of the few people who didn't like this Jackie Chan, Sammo Hung & Yuen Biao collaboration. I did like Yuen Biao and the villain played by Yuen Wah. The fights were awful (as in stupidly choreographed etc.) and I don't buy Jackie Chan as a womanizing lawyer. Meh. I may have an iffy track record with Sammo Hung's output, but I really don't like Jackie Chan. If I didn't enjoy Dick Wei's villains so much, I probably would have skipped this and several other films in Jackie's filmography.

Magnificent Wanderers (1976) Not sure what Chang Cheh had in mind with this attempt at rebels vs. Mongols "comedy." Everyone slipped in and out of their roles (even the always charming and delightful David Chiang who was the best element of the film.) Not the worst Shaw Brothers film I've seen (that would still be Snake Prince), but David Chiang's best would be right around the corner so...

All Men Are Brothers (1975) I haven't read this classic of Chinese Literature about 108 bandits who rid China of their corrupt government officials, but Chen Kuan Tai steals this movie from everyone else (although Chan Wai Man makes quite an impression with his 45 second cameo as Two Spears Tung Ping.) Ti Lung puts in his single worst performance as the legendary Wu Song (please see The Delightful Forest instead) and David Chiang has one of his single most sexy moments ever in the opening scene. Much better than the snoozer first film (The Water Margin), but still wonky as heck. I'm here for Chen Kuan Tai and Chan Wai Man. Added bonus, the absolutely crap subtitles.

Mercenaries from Hong Kong (1982) Wong Jing's loopy, ultra macho 80s action comedy about the title team of five mercenaries and one thief who relive some of their war days by returning to Cambodia to capture a nefarious drug lord. Or so they think. You can paint by numbers the six members of the team, but when it's this much fun, who cares? The action choreography is nuts and sometimes way overcranked, but the tracksuit brawls against the triads are absolute gold. Exciting, funny and absolutely stupid. Chan Wai Man, Ti Lung and Wang Lung Wei happily make fun of their bad ass personas and just cut loose. There are parts where I laugh my butt off and others where I cheer. I love this movie.

47 Ronin... Keanu Reeves version... I liked. Are you proud of me? :p

The Hateful Eight - looped it 5x
Star Wars - The Force Awakens - looped it 7x
Batman v Superman: Dawn of the Justice - 1x

All good movies.

Ban Affleck takes a lot of ****. Poor guy.

Given he has/will made/make millions of dollars personally from Batman even if it's panned by critics, he certainly should not be pitied as a 'poor guy' ...

From all the reviews it's problems are obvious. It spends too much time trying to setup the cinematic universe to follow at the expense of its own identity and focus.
