I never even realized it was Poe and Hux from TFA when I watched it. I don't remember if I saw it before or after TFA.

Coherence (2013)- Eight people sit down for dinner when a comet passes over and they become aware of parallel realities all around them. Interesting premise, but I nodded off and when I woke up one person was trying to
change places with themselves
in another reality. I'll try to watch this again and stay awake. ;) It is available as a free to watch Amazon Prime movie.

Sounds interesting. I'll be happy to hear what you think of it when you can see it in whole.

Moonwalkers (2015). I had no expectations going in except that Rupert Grint has been in some interesting films of late, and Ron Perlman is always excellent. Quirky and fun, with almost no surprises, I couldn't believe it was so poorly rated on IMDB. Once the story is set, the only question is "will they, or won't they". Good thing my kids were busy while it was on.

Coherence was better than I expected. It's hard to say anything without ruining the movie or giving anything away.

The new Ghostbusters film. Went into it hoping for something better than GB2 and saw something even better than the original. Had it all for me and now I'm sat here scared wondering how a remake can be better than the original. It hasn't been possible before, especially with such a classic original.

Total joy of a film. Going to watch it again tonight, and maybe the original too to see if I can repair these rose tinted glasses.

Better than the original? Maybe the special effects, but surly not the film? Bill Murray's best film imo.

I don't consider the effects really. Both look real enough.

But yeah the story. It took a good thing during the credits to get to this conclusion too. I mean, Ghostbusters (original) is so iconic but do you laugh during it? I never did. I thought it had a funny story, it's ultra iconic, little dabs of action, and a nice (what's the word for this?) dual plot going on. The new one lacks that dual plot but has laugh out loud moments, really nice action scenes, I didn't find it as iconic until the final villain showed up (and that end bit! Ooooh yes. Spookiest bit in the whole series as far as I'm concerned).

One thing I really loved about it, going in knowing nothing about it at all - not even seeing any trailers, was that pistol-whip action scene. I expected a comedy so having a goosebump inducing scene caught me by surprise!

Might have to check this out. If it's anything like Interstellar, i'd definitely be interested.

I've not seen interstellar but i don't they are very much alike. the martian is pretty damn good though. the book is also good.

Saw a funny video on YouTube comparing the first two Ghostbusters films. I never realized the second one was basically a copy/paste job like the Hangover movies.

Just saw The Gunman, thought it was a good suspense thriller with some great Bourne style fight scenes and a meaningful plot!

Star Trek Beyond. It was a good action movie but wasn't a great Trek film. Just a little blah, been there, done that kind of feel.
