Still working our way through some of the Marvel films I've missed.

Surprising better than I'd thought it might be.
Still like a lot of these films you do feel it's just a feeder film for some of the Avengers films.

I watched the Michele Soavi interview from The Sect blu ray. Had no idea Michele Soavi worked as a 2nd unit director for Terry Gilliam and turned down directing From Dusk Til Dawn; this is exactly why I prefer watching cast and crew interviews over hearing "experts" commentaries on foreign genre movies which sadly seems to be the cheaper substitute for most releases now.

Saw Valerian last night. Wasn't very impressed.

Really, what did you not like about it. The family and I saw it over the weekend and thought it was fun. The visuals are great and in that sense it sorta reminded me of Avatar. Obviously, there are comparisons to The Fifth Element. All in all it was a neat sci-fi adventure.

Going to sit down to Escape to Athena in an hour. I watched John Wick 2 the other night. It was alright.

Was Hackasaw Ridge any good?

We went and saw the Spiderman:Homecoming movie. Great Marvel flick and I was so glad they didn't go with an origin story. That's been done to death with the other Spiderman flicks (which were all failures). This one was thoroughly delightful and a welcome addition to the MCU. I was really glad they took Spiderman back to where he was really at his best, as a teenager.
