Quantum of Solace (2008)- The second best Bond film, the conclusion of a two film story arc. Just don’t ask why a hotel is full of propane tanks. And M gives Bond crap for the entire movie as being wreckless, but decides she trust’s him after he beats up the detail designated to take him in as a rogue out of control agent. :)

Not technically a movie, but very enjoyable...

Richard Pryor Live in Concert; from back when standup comedy was actually funny and less about politics.

I wanna see this one too!

I thoroughly enjoyed it; the cast was superb, the ambience superlative, the script scathing - (and not inaccurate).

Now, while the history was not absolutely accurate (in reality, for example, Beria's downfall occurred over months, not days) it did capture the reality and horrifying hilarity of how that ghastly gang actually operated.

Some of what really happened was so bizarre that nobody would have believed it had it been depicted on screen.

Elektra. Some decent fight scenes, but mostly just something on in the background.
I've always liked Jennifer Garner since the excellent Alias series which I have on DVD.

Any recommendations for great classic Italian movies? (preferably from the 60s-80s timeframe).

Cheer

Have you watched any Alias? It's really terrific, one of JJA's best - and a series that introduced his first collaboration with Orci and Kurtzman, many of his (now classic) Abram-isms that became so well known in Lost (huge series pivots that change the entire genre).

Ready Player One was very enjoyable. Especially if you played Adventure on the Atari 2600

I hate to be 'that guy', but I did think the book was better. :)

(warning: Possible minor spoilers/plot points below!!) They kept the premise and the characters and changed just about everything else. Some of the changes helped for better, more spectacular visuals (the race) but many changes didn't seem to add anything. I thought it never really got across the reason for the '80s trivia; or didn't stress how Watts was a nobody, or how everyone had given up on the competition and how big a deal it was when he appeared on the score list.

I mean, it wasn't a very deep story to start with; but I think they glossed over some important details which would have given the story some meaning.
